This is another update and review. This is the most recent visit. The other reviews were prior to this final review. So we went back again with high hope expectations but we very much disappointed. They were out of some of the items on their menu like chicken wings and chicken. When we got home and put the food on plates. This was some of the worst food ever. Most went right in the trash. The egg foo yong gravy cooled down and turned into a big glop of tastelessness and the omelette were most just greasy burnt eggs. The pu pu platter went right in the trash. Every item was burnt and tasted like fish because they deep fried it in the same gease that they use to cook fish items. My wife’s order was mixed vegetables and beef. Mostly just peppers meat and the gravy was a thick goop. I won’t bore you with the rest. I highly recommend you eat somewhere else. To the restaurant, how about you look around and clean a lot better maybe hire a chef. This is an Update review. I went back here to try it for a second time and it was much much better. The young man behind the counter was extremely friendly polite and helpful. The food was night and day difference the second time. Every dish had its own tasty flavor and cooked very well. Even the fried chicken wings were golden brown and tasty. The gravy for the egg foo yong turned into a solid but other than that everything was good. I will try the food here again.
First time here and was disappointed. Pu pu platter- shrimp toast- chicken stick and ribs were terrible. No flavor and over cooked. The other items had little flavor. We had a few items that were deep fried way too long. All deep fried items were over cooked and tasted like old oil in fryer. Worst spare rib ever. The only flavor was from the uncleaned grill, burnt char. I had house special lo mein. It was ok but hardly anything added. We had chicken with mixed vegetables and beef with mixed vegetables and both orders were in exactly the same brown sauce and was bland. I always give a restaurant a second chance so I will try this place again. Maybe they had a bad night. I’m use to eating in the New England area and the restaurants were much better quality of food. When we went out for this type of food it was extremely flavorful and multiple different types of sauces. I have tried almost all the Chinese food places in the area and unfortunately they are a let down. Zero consistency. One week ok the next terrible. To the restaurant owners, charge more money if you need to but make a great product. We don’t mind paying for great food and service. If I want average food I’ll stay home and cook my own food. Take more time and cook to order. less precooking. I would much rather wait for...
Read moreI have never tried there food but it looked similar to other establishments in town. I ordered lemon chicken and asked for no lettuce underneath like I do at my regular place. The chicken gets soggy from the lettuce by the time I get home. This would save the restaurant because I am taking my product minus lettuce for the same price.
The young man said they could not because their items are pre made, then said he’ll order sweat and sour for me. I hate sweat and sour. I only wanted my lemon chicken minus lettuce. Simple you would think. He brings over a young lady who states they are ore made so she can’t take the lettuce out. I can see the kitchen so I’m confused. I asked do they not prepare it here. She says they do but she can’t do it without lettuce but can give me a plate and I can take it out. Now they are not a dine in restaurant and they want me to unpack my food and take out the lettuce. So there are two things that seem wrong. 1. They make food and packaging it here but are unable or really unwilling to do it with no lettuce. 2. They want me to treat them like a dine in establishment and uncover my food and take things out in an urea that is not sanitized for your food to be out. That seems like something the health inspector may be interested in.
Really not happy but I have a family waiting so...
Read moreNot great, not good either... I order a spare ribs lunch special.. portion size was so little, and the spare ribs taste like the cook just decided to pour entire bag of sugar into it. I understand that it's suppose to be sweet-ish, but this was like eating sugar syrup. The fried rice as well, it wasn't cooked right, it was really dried or could be too old... I don't know how many time this place have change owner, because I have been around in this plaza since they were owned by a different family, and were at where the renovated breakfast place is now. The quality of their food is getting worse every time they change hands. It was close by, but now I kind of wish I drove to Golden Wok instead, bigger portion and taste better. -My aunt order food from these guys some time too, and I had the chance to try it once/twice and all I can say is some time it just flavorless, like the cook either forget to add seasoning, or in my cases too much. -Don't let the picture fool you.. I had like two little bite of rice and two pieces of meat before I realize that it...
