We made dinner reservations with this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We were apprehensive about going out to celebrate since we didn't want to eat in a crowded location due to the pandemic. So, we were delighted that the dinner slot that we chose (Tuesday at 4pm) was just at the right time where there was a lull after the lunch crowd and just before the dinner crowd. Our server Tina was very attentive and polite. She made sure that we were comfortable and accommodated our request that any servers wear masks since I have a pre-existing health condition. The food was delightful and tasty. Though the portion size for my medium well done filet mignon was smaller than I expected, the quality was excellent (lean, tender, just the right flavor). Was it worth the $48 price tag, quality-wise, yes. If I were for a larger sized person, the serving size would not be filling enough, but I'm a petite girl who has a big appetite. The meal was just right for me. The filet mignon came with mixed veggies on the side (fried potato wedges, a few heads of broccoli and cauliflower, zucchini, and squash) which helped make the meal more satisfying. The filet mignon also came with a choice of soup and I had the lentil soup which tasted great, very similar to minestrone without the minestrone. My husband had a grilled chicken Sicilian pizza, which he seemed to enjoy. The pizza was large enough that we needed to take home the other half of it. For dessert, we had tiramisu which was served in a parfait style fluted glass, not in the classic square that I was expecting. The tiramisu was rich and flavorful, not too sweet and just the right touch to finish dinner. We paired the meal with 1 shot each of Johnnie Walker Black, which complimented the taste of the steak. All in all, we spent about $130 for our meal including tip. Be prepared to spend $ if you plan to drink here :}
My only complaint about our dining experience was that we ordered and were charged for a Sicilian pizza, however the pizza that we were served was a round thin crust pizza. For those of you not in the know, a Sicilian style pizza is usually a rectangle deep dish pizza, with an upcharge of $3 in this restaurant. However, according to a recent communication from management, apparently they also make them round. (hmm...)
Overall, if you enjoy authentic Italian food with romantic ambiance and don't mind splurging on your meal, this is a nice spot to take your loved ones out for date night.
I'll update this review with photos of our meal at...
Read moreIt is a great shame, Vitos has good food. However, we drive very far away to get it and they completely messed up our order on a special occasion. We spent a good deal there until the occasion below and did so quite regularly until they left items out and would not fix as promised.
When I called to advise as soon as I arrived home, Francesca stated that she would make it right next time by replacing the 2 incorrect desserts (ordered spoon cake, given another cake I don’t like) that I emphasized over the phone when ordering, missing salads resulting in no salad for us, missing bread. I called her and she refused to come to the phone for my next visit. They said call back and this went on for 2 hours then said she was not there, unavailable, at the store. I finally ordered and explained to Marie who was unusually curt.
Marie who has helped us before and is normally super nice was subdued and did not honor the promise of Francesca (I even explained and she had written it down). She just said she would make sure the order was right this time. I really felt conned. We thought at pickup they would add in the items from last time.
Well, she almost left out the salads for that night’s dinners we were paying for only giving us 2 for 4 dinners and you get salad with all. She made a big deal about giving us 1 extra salad and that she gave a single dessert for my birthday - not 2 spoon cakes to replace the ones we did not get and paid for last time. Her 1 salad/1 dessert was nothing as they were supposed to be replacing the 2 missing desserts and 4 salads and bread from last time. This had little monetary value but caused a lot of grief at the time with guests with no salad and no bread and wrong dessert.No crostini for 2 appetizers either.
I guess when you purchase almost $200 to go (meaning just food) you are not appreciated. This is how we were made to feel and we will not be back. Marie did not apologize for last time and Francesca hid as my mom saw her avoiding her as to not keep her word. They are nice until something goes wrong and do not fix it.
It ruined the meal as I was so disappointed that I could not even enjoy. I will not patronize a place where I am lied to and feel unappreciated and afraid they will mess up again. We live too far away to drive right back and they should care.

Read moreResponse to owner: Note to yourself Francesca, it is not always wise to rely on the relayed information from your front desk staff. It’s probably best to be a true professional and handle this through a phone conversation even if it requires multiple attempts to connect to come to some resolution. You’re one attempt is quite simply a lazy attempt to resolve a matter and you’re $6 credit was insufficient.
I did NOT receive any salads, there was no screaming or shouting, the staff member was on speaker with kids in the background so I may had to speak over them. I did NOT acknowledge receipt of said salads ever. I expressed this to your front desk contact that out of the 7, we didn’t receive 3, we received none and 2 were upgraded. This is why I requested a callback because there was inaccurate information getting to you. Note to your staff, please don’t sit there and accuse a customer of what I received and did not receive from a takeout order. Honestly I could care less about the 7 salads but there is a principle behind this and once again the manager or owner failed to address the core issue to this.
This level of incompetence is unacceptable. We will just agree to disagree. Good luck, you’ll need it especially with the other good Italian restaurants mentioned below now available.
Original Post: Poor takeout experience with this restaurant. We had a big order $100+ and all 7 of our salads were missing, 2 were upgraded to Caesar salads. Tried calling the restaurant and they offered $7 for these salads. Requested to speak to the manager and Francesca was always too busy to take a call and was very rude in her email response. Francesca clearly doesn’t understand how to handle customers, especially those that decide to spend a good amount of money for a takeout meal.
With many good options such as Enza’s, Picasso’s, Al Dente’s, and Poppy’s available I highly recommend going to them before Vito’s as Vito’s will no longer be an...
