I was upset with Wawa for moving in on my neighborhood and adding traffic. But the appeal of their sandwiches and 24 hour gas station warmed me up to the idea of having one nearby. Over the past year or so they have been there never had an issue until a few days ago when I attempted to prepay for gas with my daughter. We went inside, grabbed lunch and drinks, and prepaid for gas. I attempted to pump the gas, but nothing happened. When I hit the call button the cashier told me I need to come in to pay or pay at the pump. When I explained I already did that, he then tried to blame me for picking up the pump before paying which I had not done. I hadn't touched the pump until after we paid and got our food and went back to the car. The cashier continued to make me feel like it was my fault, but when I looked at the receipt, he had put the gas on the WRONG pump and refused to admit his own mistake. I asked for a receipt or something in writing proving I would not be charged for gas I did not get and he refused saying they can't do that. So I sat in my car in front of the pump for 10 minutes on the phone with Wawa Corporate and as they apologized and emailed me the requested documentation, as I was leaving Wawa, only THEN did a Wawa employee attempt to try to make things right at that point it was too late and I left. So much for a "friendly neighborhood gas station". As convenient as they are, we won't be using that...
Read moreI love Wawa and get up on it so when they came to FL I was SO excited! I have a 3 week old and was very disappointed when I walked into the bathroom to change my daughter. In the huge handicap stall there was no changing station. So I was forced to either use the tiny ledge on the sink, go outside and change her on a table, or in the back of my hot car while it was raining. I chose to do the best I could with the sliver of the side of the sink so that I could at least be in an enclosed environment. when I told the cashier how disappointed I was and how to change my daughter on the side of the sink he told me he had asked the managers the same question as to why there was no changing station and they told him because it gets unsanitary. so you'd rather have me change my daughter's diaper on the side of the sink and risk her falling then provide an adequate device that you can clean for my child safety. We go to Wawa a lot but that may change now that we have two children and when we stop at places need to...
Read moreI used to use this gas station often because they have the non-ethanol gas that I paid a premium for. I guess I should thank Will, the rude manager for dissing me because I learned that it isn't necessary or even helpful to use that kind of gas in my car. Anyway, for a year every time I went to the pumps, they never refilled the receipt paper. I had to put on my mask, lock up the car, go inside, stand in the line and wait because they can't be bothered to come out and refill the paper. When I complained to Will, the manager, he could not give two flips about my inconvenience, wasting my time or the risk of covid. So that was the end of Wawa for me. And I get to save money not paying for premium gas that...
