So the details of my 5 star review are more so a reflection on the Staff.. this was kind of a weird situation that I felt bad for the employee at the window .. so around 7:00pmish on Sunday day Aug 31st I went through the drivethu and saw an advertisement for a Fuego Taki chicken sandwich meal.. liking spicy chicken I decided to try it so I ordered it and added a normal spicy chicken sandwich on the side .. just in case it wasn’t good. The Ai prompt at the speaker confirmed the order and I was instructed to pull around. I get up to the window and the guy working tells me “man.. I have really bad news.. we are out of the powder to make the fuego fries, but if you want we can substitute them for baconator fries instead” .. I said sure no problem.. he thanked me for understanding and closed the window and headed to the back. About 30 seconds went by when he came back up and said “man I have even more bad news.. apparently the fuego chicken is no longer available, it was a limited time item and we don’t have any left but I can substitute it with another spicy chicken sandwich” .. that one kind of stung cause I did actually pay a few dollars more for the taki meal but I understood it wasn’t his fault and how uncomfortable he had to be bringing that news .. so I agreed and he again closed the window and headed to the back. A minute or 2 later he returned with the order and informed me that they had ran out of lettuce so neither of the chicken sandwiches had any.. I kind of laughed it off and took the food and just told him “it is what it is”.. now I know this may sound strange to leave a 5 star review over this experience but I’m 32 years old and 16 years ago my first job ever was at a Wendy’s and I used to hate delivering people bad news that we were out of something because I remember how nasty some people can be. But the gentleman working the drivethru was so nice and as apologetic as could be I felt bad for him having to give me the bad news. I will say though a very redeeming aspect of this visit food related was the fact that those chicken sandwiches were absolutely the freshest made best spicy chicken sandwiches I’ve had since I worked at a Wendy’s and had one fresh. I can tell they didn’t throw together something that had been sitting around for 2 hours. But that’s it, that’s my review and experience.. if management sees this and can see who the guy is that night that was in the drivethru he def...
Read moreStopped into this Wendy's drive thru after a long day for a combo meal. The AI speaker at the order box just kept asking the same question over and over. My granddaughter put her back window down and asked for a human, which we did get a human male that asked me to hold on and said he would be right with me, after about 5 minutes I asked into the order box if the store was still opened, which I should have known it would be as it was only 7:30 in the evening, it was just so dark outside already but it threw me off. I pulled around front and parked, went in to find about 10, maybe 15 employees behind the counter, yet the drive thru was backing up when I pulled around. I walked inside to a completely empty dining room and not a single person ordering at the register. The young man at the register was sarcastic and incapable of taking my simple order, I had to tell him more than once what I was ordering and he still couldn't catch on, I paid and received my order and left, but did not feel confident eating it. I am a Christian and boy did I pray over this food. I only ate about half of it as I just couldn't get over the complete negligence and incompetence I just experienced. The owner of this location needs to do a very thorough audit to determine if that many people are needed to do a very unsatisfactory job. They are getting paid for absolutely nothing in return. Needless to say as I drive this route going forward I will not even look sideways at this restaurant even if I'm starving! I can pretty much see why I pass by so many Wendy's stores that have permanently closed!!! It's only a matter of time before this Wendy's location suffers...
Read moreWhen I first moved to the Zephyrhills area 2 years ago, I dreaded coming to this Wendy's because the line was always long and the staff was unprofessional so I limited my visits to maybe once every 6 months. Within the past 4-6 months I have seen a new manager at night that has blown my entire mind!!! He is THE FRIENDLIEST and most caring individual. For a second I thought I was at a Chik-fil-A which is usually my fast food restaurant of choice. Only this new older gentleman is so PERSONABLE AND NEEDS A RAISE!!! Just the other day my toddler forgot to mention that she wanted a frosty in place of her drink and I was too embarrassed to ask because I know it's hard to make last minute requests at the drive-thru because I can understand how hard it must be to keep the line going but he heard her yelling in the back and asked, "Vanilla or Chocolate?" and proceeded to making her frosty with a smile on his face. This is not the first time that he's gone above and beyond to put a smile on myself and my children's face. I work and go to school full-time amongst many other things and after swimming lessons with my kiddos I just don't have it in me to go home and cook, the fact that I can count on at least one manager to be respectful of my time and my money after a very long day MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME! Thank you sir, we need more people in management...
