I love Whataburger. I have been an unstoppable fan since they first came to Jacksonville, so much so that my friends and family get me Whataburger paraphernalia for birthdays, Christmases, etc. When I lived in Jacksonville proper near the other locations, I was there almost everyday for one thing or another. I just love Whataburger. AND I married a TEXAN, who ALSO loves Whataburger needless to say. When we found out that a location was opening literally across the street from us, we were flabbergasted. How awesome!
Needless to say, I am 1 starring this so you see where this is going. This location has made me lose my fire for Whataburger. And my wife’s, which is far more tragic. This is objectively the worst location I have ever been to, far and away, and it is consistent. When they changed operating partners recently, we thought maybe things would change, and the few and far between reasonable and/or good experiences did have a spike up for a bit, but it has not ultimately improved. I literally can’t count the number of times I have waited 30+ minutes at this location. And many times from AFTER I have ordered, not just leading up to my order. This location is completely incapable of getting an order correct; things are missing, everytime, and the things that aren’t are not grouped together in the proper bags so that you can verify what items are missing quickly. My wife called me at 6:57 PM today to ask me if I wanted anything from this Whataburger, and texted me at 7:44 PM saying she had only JUST THEN received her gravy, which was forgotten when she received her food at 7:22 PM.
We are done. I would recommend that anyone who wants Whataburger to drive as far as they need to in order to avoid this franchise. Whataburger is good, but this is location aint it. It’s like the skim milk of Whataburger locations, don’t give them your business so they will be forced to close up or get their...
Read moreDear Whataburger Team,
I want to share my recent experience at your location after purchasing a meal for my team at our business — something we regularly do and usually look forward to.
On this visit, I ordered the 10-pack of Whataburgers along with a large order of onion rings and fries. When I got back and opened the bags, I was surprised and disappointed to find that the fries were barely there — the portion was clearly incomplete. Even more surprising, my “large” order of onion rings contained only four rings. At first, I thought perhaps someone had generously added a few extra rings, but I quickly realized that this was actually the full order.
I returned to the store to address the issue and showed photos of what I had received. I was polite throughout, but the response I got made me feel uncomfortable. The staff member insisted that the order had been correctly packaged, implying that I was being dishonest about the missing items. She eventually agreed to replace the items, but I could hear her in the back talking about me and referring dismissively to the situation as “some dumb onion rings and fries.” This caused the rest of the staff to look over, making me feel humiliated and embarrassed.
All it would have taken was a simple, courteous replacement to resolve the issue. Instead, I left feeling disrespected and opted not to take the replacement items because of how uncomfortable the situation had become.
As a result of this embarrassing and humiliating experience, I will not be returning to Whataburger, nor will I be bringing my staff to eat there as I used to. This has completely changed how I feel about the brand.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and provide your staff with better guidance on how to handle customer concerns with professionalism...
Read moreI wish I had taken the timevto read some of these reviews before deciding to go to this Whataburger.
You have to understand, I was raised in Texas and Whataburger has always been our favorite restaurant.
This place will make a person reconsider their loyslties.
For those who posted 2 months ago hoping things would get better, they haven't!
Over 45 minutes in the drive through to order a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and a vanilla shake for my daughter and a chicken finger meal with fries and unsweet tea for my wife who has Type 2 Diabetes.
After all that time, we get the drinks, then wait another 5 minutes. We are handed a bag and the window is slid shut. I open the bag and find the box that apparently contains the chicken finger meal but no spicy chicken sandwich meal. They ask us to wait longer. We do and hurriedly leave after our 50+ minute wait.
We get home 5 minutes away and our daughter wonders what took do long.
My wife opens her meal to fond no toast in the chicken strip meal. She tajes a drink and finds she received SWEET tea. Did I mention she has diabetes?
Took the time to leave this lengthy review so that it might lead yo positive change. We love Whataburger and have had pretty decent experiences at other locations.
This one seems to be extremely poorly managed.
We are huge supporters of food service folks as I and both my kids grew up working in food service. My daughter insists on tipping very generously because food service staffs are so poorly paid.
Management has to do better at this location or the owner and the staff are going to continue to suffer.
And I am going to have to drive 20 minutes farther to get better service.
On the bright side, even driving farther I will probably get to eat sooner!
Good...
