We stopped in for a quick snack and drink on our way to the north side of Lake Winnebago. We were quickly greeted as we sat down, electing to sit inside as we would be spending the whole day outside. There is a large outdoor 'beer garden' with a variety of comfy looking seating options. Inside was clean, but small. Lots of bar seating. Roughly 15 beers on tap, with both local selections and a good selection of German Octoberfest staples. A beer list definitely would have been helpful, as there are taps at various locations throughout the bar. The beer was great, and glasses were spotless. Some upselling would have been helpful, as we had to ask for a menu. We shared the brat ruben which was a really neat idea but not well executed. The brat was halved, but wasn't distributed evenly, it was like eating a hot dog between two pieces of bread. The rye bread wasn't fully toasted (or toasted at all? not sure) so a firm brat between two pieces of bread really wasn't an attractive or satisfying presentation. It was tasty, but could be improved. I really liked the Wisconsin take on traditional menu items. We saw a plate of german nachos (more brats!) being delivered and they were piled HIGH. There's definitely more to try, and I think with a few small adjustments these minor issues can be overcome. Certainly worth a stop on a nice day.

Really great German alehouse. Plenty of great beers available, both local and import. Authentic German food, the warm potato salad is worth mentioning as it was fantastic. Number of community seating options are well as tables, and a nice patio area with fire pit and outdoor bar. Service was friendly and attentive as well. All around great experience and have already been recommending it to friends when in the area.

Cozy ale haus with a friendly German vibe. The pretzel bites were delicious-buttery and warm. I loved that they had Summer Shandy on tap in your choice of pint, mug or boot. Ordered the cheesy flatbread and my husband ordered a pizza - both were excellent. Highly recommend for a casual date night or hang out with friends. The outdoor space looks perfect for summer.

Came in, sat down hoping to get some dinner. There's no waitress or available bar staff. No menu on the table assuming I have to order at the bar so there should be some menus out on the tables. So many people at the bar it was almost impossible to get one of the two bartenders attention. My suggestion is do not go here for any food after 5pm. It's WAY too crowded. Definitely not a sit down and eat establishment. If your going for beer and the loudest environment you've experienced outside an indoor concert then this is the place for you. I'm sure everything is better when it's quieter and there's not 40 people surrounding...

The absolute best fondy has to offer. Unique food you wont find anywhere else in town, an awesome selection of beers, and super friendly staff that works fast (even on trivia night!)

I got the hickory smoked pulled pork and it was the best pulled pork I've ever had in my life. My fiance got the cheese stuff breadsticks and is now obsessed with them. We also split a strawberry rhubarb mule and it reminded me of the holy lands. It was absolutely an amazing experience. I cant recommend this...
