Very disappointed. Being from the Twin Cities, I thought this would be a typical Caribou with tables, chairs and other seats so folks could hang out with their friends, play games, do homework or mess with their laptops. You would think that would be the case by remodeling the entire old Tucker's building. Was I surprised when I walked in yesterday and there was just enough space for their bathroom and an order counter--no tables or chairs. No nothing. So you can order at the inside counter or through the drive-up, but no hanging around, unless you want to sit at their outside table. That doesn't quite work in this heat or in the middle of winter. The.owner could have set a great standard in FdL with a traditional Caribou. The owner could have cleaned house and this could have been the premier coffee place in FdL. Now it's the same as every other coffee drive-up in town. At least Starbucks and a couple other places have...
Read moreI made my second visit today and I was very disappointed. I had my first visit and they first made the drink iced instead of hot, they then made a medium instead of a large. So it had to be made three times to get it right. Thankfully, I wasn't in a hurry. The cutomer service was great and compensated with a half off card and bakery item. Unfortunately, the drink was too sweet for my taste and I couldn't drink it. It was honestly like deinking pure syrup, and i like sweet coffee. I figured I'd give it another go and order it with half of the amount of syrup that is typically used. I made it very clear that I wanted it made with half of anything added that made it sweet. This one was just as sweet as the first one and again I couldn't drink it. I had put it in the fridge and was going to use it as creamer, but something in the coffee had actually hardened. Which, I have never had happen at any other coffee...
Read more1 star for the food. Couldn't order anything I wanted. It was either sold out or they didn't sell it even though their website says they should.
Coffee. 5 stars. Caramel shaken espresso tastes like actual coffee. Not burnt bitter Starbucks or sugar and cream and no coffee from dunkin or scooters.
Service was fine. Wanted to try food. Apparently you can't order a bagel here. Was told they do not sell bagels at all. Just pre-made pre-packaged food. So want a toasted bagel with cream cheese like almost everyone else offers? Nope... Not gonna happen. Wanted to try the honey Sriracha sandwich. Sold out. Gave up trying to order food at that point and went to dunkin. At least got a bagel from there.
$6+ for a medium shaken espresso. Pricey. Can't afford more than one a week maybe. But at least I don't feel cheated on the quality of the coffee VS the price.
Not in any rush to run back...
