Let me just first say that I am not one to complain or write negative reviews. However, today I feel compelled to inform others in the community about an establishment that acted in a manner unbefitting of a business driven by customer satisfaction.
I ordered maki rolls lunch from Fuji Yummy and received the incorrect order. I was frustrated, but returning to the store was not an option so I decided, "What the hell, I am not picky, I will just eat what they gave me." Upon biting into my WARM salmon roll, I decided to forego that decision.
After work, about three hours later, I returned with the uneaten rolls, my only intention being the receipt of correct order. I told the woman working that there was a mix-up with my lunch order and she hurried away to the back, presumably I thought, to remake the order. Instead, she returned in less than a minute with a bag.
I found it unprofessional that she would give me sushi that had been sitting in the refrigerator for multiple hours, but again, I did not make a fuss. I was just hungry and just wanted to eat my lunch. Less than 10 minutes later I sat down to eat and again, WARM RAW FISH! It literally seemed as if they had been sitting in the back since lunchtime. I could not believe it. Still, I had no intention of writing a poor review.
Finally, I went back a third time. I did not want food from there anymore. I just wanted money refunded. However, I was informed by the woman working that it was my own fault because I didn't come back to the store or call immediately. She reluctantly refunded my money after a minute or two of back and forth.
I have formerly worked in customer service at restaurants, hotels, etc. and when you make a mistake, no matter the circumstances, YOU remedy that mistake. It's true, the customer is not always right, but in this instance, I can objectively say, " I was 100% right!" If were the owner of a business that treated a customer like this, I would be mortified.
Besides being unprofessional, it is downright negligent to serve someone raw fish that has not been refrigerated. Let's be clear, I don't want anything free or an apology, just to let others know how Fuji Yummy treats a paying customer who, by the way, tipped $3 for a $10 takeout (didn't refund my tip). So, there you go, this isn't just someone venting about BS. This is a negative review that has been...
Read moreDrove an hour just to try this place out. We got there and I told waitress it was our first time there. She seated us and asked me if we wanted a menu. Which totally confused me. The waitress failed to take everyone in our party orders. She was very rude and never apologized for mistakes she made. I was actually excited to see them cook food in front of me but they did not want to do it since I was the only one getting habachi. I asked her what sushi she has brought out and she rudely told me as if I have offended her in some way. When I questioned how come it dont look like how its described on the online menu she left me unseen. She aggressively came back with a fork and aggressively cut up the sushi and rudely pointed out every little thing in the sushi. I looked at her speechless and said it's okay, we dont want the sushi. She yelled out rudely she'll get me a new one. I just told her it's okay dont make a new one. She then walks away and left us on scene. By this time I have not eaten my meal yet since she brought the sushi out last. I asked the waiter why she so angry at me because I have not been rude to her or raised my voice like she has been. She just walked away and called the police on me. I told her if she don't call then I will since she is yelling and being so rude. I do not know if the food is good since I did not eat it. I do know the service sucked for me. At the same time I watched her services for the next white guests and it was fine. I know a lot of asians give horrible service to their own kind but excellent service to white people because they want to impress the white people only. I will never reccomend this restaurant. Funny thing is that she insisted that it was a good thing she even asked me if I wanted a menu. In the end the officer came back out to asked me if I agreed to pay for our meals and she will take off the 2 sushi that I was questioning off the bill. Which was my original suggestion before cops were called. When we got to the register to pay, she changed her mind and put everything back on the bill and the officer said she had the right to do that and change her mind anytime. I feel so wronged by both the officer and...
Read moreI had a previous review from 1 week ago that was extremely positive on all fronts.
Unfortunately, service was inconsistent enough this visit that I felt I needed to write an updated review (I had to delete the old to create a new one. Google only allows 1 active review at a time)
Service seemed fairly slow despite the restaurant only having about 5-6 tables. While the server up front was clearly doing his best to keep up, I couldn’t help but notice a sushi chef and one other in back that seemed to be doing nothing while this server was clearly behind.
Tables needed their checks, plates needed cleared, tables wiped down, etc.
It took quite a long time to just get drink orders. About 30 mins from the time we were sat to our drinks arriving.
Again, I do think the server was doing his best but seemed like he was running the place on his own with no support.
On top of this, my food was not great compared to last time. I ordered the hibachi filet steak, med rare, and scallops (same as my last review) and the steak was really overcooked (close to well done) and chewy but not hot. My vegetables were luke warm to cold…the rice was the hottest thing on my plate.
Crab Rangoon were good as they were last time.
My SO swapped out extra sashimi for the sushi roll on his meal. Got whole imitation crab sticks slapped on top of the rice as a replacement. This is not what we were expecting at all.
I understand if there’s additional cost for this, we would have been happy to pay it but nothing was mentioned that we couldn’t swap.
Overall, I’m disappointed by our experience knowing we’ve had way better service and food our last visit.
This place can be great but I’m worried about...
