Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Fond du Lac

The food is good. It's about the same anywhere you go for this place. My issue was with the service.

We ordered a pizza from them quite some time ago when they first released their buffalo chicken pizza. We didn't have anything special with our order we simply ordered it with no onions and the buffalo sauce on the side. We had it delivered and it took over an hour to get it to our apartment which was at most 15 min away in heavy traffic. We called 45min into the order wondering where it was at and they told us the delivery driver had a lot of deliveries prior to ours. As we came up on the hour mark we called again and they gave us the same excuse.

Once the pizza arrived it was made wrong and had onions without the buffalo sauce at all. We didn't check it as it was already going on past an hour just to get it. As we opened it up that's when we realized it was wrong. We called the store and they said they could do one of two things, have a pizza delivered to us with sauce or come in and pick up the sauce and new pizza. We choose to have it delivered since they told us it would be a priority delivery. Well, that pizza took another hour to get here and by that time we had already picked away at the current one. We called and complained again which they gave us a coupon code that didn't work at all.

Fast forward a year or so and almost to a T the same thing happened again almost as if it's just common practice for them to not care about delivery times. We didn't bother complaining this time because we won't ever be ordering from here again.

The only way I would suggest ordering here is if you pick it up yourself and check the pizza before you leave to make sure it's exactly what...

Very, very, very disappointed in their service. I ordered pizzas plus sides $100 worth of food for my daughter's 2nd birthday party on Monday for a Saturday pick up to give enough notice. When Saturday came and I went to pick up the pizzas they were not done and I was told the order had been canceled the day prior. I asked why no one called or I didn't get an email notification and all the manager could say was "I couldn't tell you." I showed my email and the last one I got was confirmation in picking up my order, nothing about it getting cancelled. I was devastated because the party was in 30 minutes at that point, and so I left the store. Not only did I waste time and money, I also did not have any pizzas for my daughter's birthday party. My spouse called to talk to someone and again all the manager could say was "I don't know" then after trying to get a resolution the manager said they would make the pizzas at no charge, and then ended up hanging up on my spouse. We ended up going back since they said they'd make them at no charge. We got there and then tried to charge us for the food. After arguing with the manager about him saying they wouldn't charge for them we ended up walking back out a 2nd time with no food. Thankfully our local little ceasers understood our circumstances and made us fresh pizzas in 20 minutes for half the cost. Usually papa John's is my family's go to but after this service from the employees at the local fond du lac store I don't think we will be ordering from them...

Definitely enjoy the pizza here, it's a family favorite.

Positives: Friendly service. Typically fast service, ready & hot when we get there. Taste is great. They actually toss the crust before making it and it bakes! Appetizers are great- garlic bites and cheese sticks are some favorites.

Something I'd love to see: is being able to put the garlic seasoning from the garlic bites right on my pizza! I tend to get garlic bites so I can do my pizza in the seasoning. There's no way to order this, this way online.

Negative Things I've noticed, garlic butter is not always flavored. Pizza reheats well only for about 2-3 days & then the crust gets hard.

My husband seems to have the worst luck with customizing his pizza, this seems to be something that happens often, normally they will help us out, but he was not there when I got home to check it & felt like it was too late to say something the next day. He really enjoys the pineapple pizzas, likes a regular sauce with the barbeque drizzled over the top. Last time he ordered one though that he switched toppings, and they didn't do it, it was listed on the reciept.
