Came here Easter Sunday for lunch, we ordered a few different items and we were pretty disappointed with almost everything. The good was the Birria but was not impressed with the kitchen, my wife ordered a quesabirria and i ordered a regular birria taco and there was maybe a teaspoon of meat in my taco! I asked if this was normal as my wife’s taco had a lot more meat in it. She said sorry and offered to make another which came out with a good amount of meat which did taste good. We also ordered bean and cheese burritos which were pretty good the cheese was melted on the grill before adding beans which was pretty tasty. The bad was my son and I ordered a few items to try which consisted of a taco dorado con carne I should’ve just ordered a regular potato dorado taco as the carne was dry and hard and completely not edible, Two Al pastor tacos that were overcooked and mainly hard gristle. I Wish I would’ve known because we also ordered an Al pastor quesadilla and it was more of the same dried out gristle and the icing on the cake was stale tortilla chips. The service wasn’t the worst but all my food came out after the rest of my family was completely done eating not sure why as putting meat in a tortilla does not take as long as making a quesadilla or quesabirria. also The restaurant needs a deep clean as it looks like it isn’t very well maintained all in all very disappointing as we’ve seen a lot of internet hype...
Read moreI love the food but the service is pretty bad. I'd like to update my review in the future when I've had a better experience but there are so many Mexican and Latin american restaurants to try in Fontana that they have to do better. The waitresses make you feel like you're bugging them to do their jobs and bring you what you paid for. I brought my friend to eat here and was emberrased that we had to ask more than 3 times for the same thing(s).... yes, that's several items I paid for that they forgot about. It first started with the drinks, then it was the tortillas and then I noticed my side of rice was missing. Typically one receives the drinks before the meal as to order a refill midway eating but not at this restaurant. We received the drinks after almost finishing our meals and I have braces and eat v e r y s l o w... you get the idea... good food, bad service (maybe the one we got is a dud?) I'll try again
Read moreWe saw this place on Facebook. It looked good so we thought we’d try it. The dish is called a Breakfast Molcajetes. It comes with homemade salsa, cactus, eggs, carne and pinto beans and whole chilies. It’s served in a stone bowl like used for guacamole. It’s enough food for 2 people and comes with homemade tortillas. We ordered ours with no cactus and got extra potatoes. We also ordered pancakes with powered sugar and whipped cream. They come with strawberries and bananas and we didn’t get either. We added syrup and enjoyed them. The bowl is served hot and the food inside was bowling. The salsa in the bowl was spicy hot. The carne asada was a little chewy but good. We put a little onto tortilla and ate it that way. It was flavorful and we enjoyed it! The waitress was friendly and other servers checked on us too to be sure if needed anything. It was a different kind of breakfast than we normally get. It was busy inside and a lot of to-go orders too. It did take awhile after ordering to get our food and wait again after done to get our check, though not terribly long. All the employees spoke Spanish...
