Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Fontana

I first tried Pollo Campero during this year’s “Taste of Covina” festival and was instantly captivated by their delectable fried chicken. After a bit of searching, I finally found their location in Fontana and decided to stop by for lunch today.

The restaurant exuded a clean and inviting ambiance, with well-designed decor that created a pleasant dining atmosphere. I opted for their 4 Piece Special, which included two juicy chicken legs and thighs, a warm and flavorful bread roll, Campero rice, and creamy macaroni and cheese as sides. The staff members were courteous and attentive, ensuring that my meal arrived promptly (specifically, Ashley was the best 😊)!

The star of the show was undoubtedly the food. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection, with a delightful balance of juiciness and spice. The sides complemented the main dish perfectly, adding warmth and flavor to each bite. The generous portion sizes ensured that I was comfortably satisfied. This is newly opened restaurant and unfortunately it seems the employees give a bad name to Pollo Campero. I placed a mobil order and it was supposed to be ready for pick up at 8:46pm according to the app. When I arrived I was told it would be ready soon. 10 minutes later I was told that they didn’t have tights and legs for me to have mix chicken instead. I agreed, 20 minutes later my order was not ready. Three different employees came and asked me what was my name and what was my order and I kept repeating myself. I asked Wendy, another employee, what was delay. She said we make the chicken when you arrive to have a the chicken fresh, but there were other two customers who arrived after me and they received their order quicker than my order and I didn’t have a big order. I got my order at 9:23 pm and no one even apologized for the inconvenience for the delay. On top of that the floors were dirty and sticky and it seemed that management didn’t mind that. Overall service is extremely poor at this store and hopefully they can fix the problem before is too late and continue accumulating bad reviews👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽. I don’t recommend this place. Have been to this POLLO CAMPERO location numerous times, & every time we order the family chicken meal, & every dam time they don’t have any chicken breasts ready, they will always tell you you have to wait 10 to 15 minutes if you want chicken breasts, this is ridiculous! How in the hell is this a chicken restaurant and they never have any chicken breast ready for the customer! In fact today instead of giving us the Campero Beans we ordered they gave us Sweet Plantains, also the chicken was very dry & no seasoning on the chicken, & when we called POLLO CAMPERO to complain nobody would answer the phone, & we called numerous times. The customer service at this location is horrible! Do not waste your money going to this location! After today, we are done doing business with POLLO CAMPERO!
