This is a busy store with all of the housing around it.I went there on Saturday afternoon and it was just bustling.I like the Tropical Fish area as I have them myself. One thing that Petco has is Saltwater Tropical Fish, which one of their competitors does not,so that sets them apart widely in that respect. If you are interested at all in setting up a Saltwater Tropical Fish,I highly encourage you to do so....IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH FRESHWATER TROPICAL FISH...which I do yearrrs back...with both Fresh and Saltwater.Alot of people think you need to have a 55 gallon aquarium for saltwater fish. That is not really true. What is true is, that the larger the aquarium is,the more slowly the water quality problems will happen as more water takes longer to pollute,as opposed to a small tank. However if you have had previous experience with freshwater fish, you understand alot of the same concepts as with saltwater. The big thing you need to learn is how to maintain/monitor the salinity of a saltwater aquarium, which is easily accomplished with HYDROMETER. A hydrometer measures salinity in the saltwater aquarium, which should be about 1.025. You purchase the saltwater mix in large bags around 20lbs and you mix the salt mix with fresh water in 5 gallon buckets to achieve the salinity of 1.025.Do not put in too much salt mix initially in the bucket ,or your salinity will be too high, and you may need to dump some out and add more fresh water, and the mix is a little costly which is one difference from freshwater fish.I have successfully had 10 gallon saltwater aquariums.I always use undergravel filters in all my aquariums, which alot of people dont prefer any more.So dont be afraid to try having saltwater fish. The little damsel fish are pretty cheap to start out with just to get your feet...
Read moreI signed my puppy for training classes and they were rescheduled and sent a message supposedly using an old number I did not list when I enrolled my pet. I showed up and was asked by Lindsay, a supposed trainer, why I was there. When I told her why she stated that it was only a puppy graduation day and she had no classes that day. She was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I told her about the scheduled classes and looked at my phone and chuckled to myself, thinking that this was really insane that I specifically signed up and looked forward to this class and this start date. Then she said under her breath, I don’t see what’s so funny. After I said excuse me thinking I must be hearing incorrectly, she then said to me that this puppy class was pushed to next Friday at the same time and that today was puppy graduation. I looked at her face and asked her why she was so angry, to which she replied that she did not appreciate being scoffed at. Because of her attitude and demeanor, it was clearly evident that this would not be a positive experience or partnership for me or my puppy to be in. I asked her if she could please let me know how to get a refund for the classes. Again, she chastised me and asked why I would request a refund if the class was only a week away. It’s just a week! I again asked her why she was so angry and she said you get a refund at the front counter, I can call my manager for you, you need to get out of the puppy training area and it’s too bad bc I love training doodles. I said, my puppy is not a doodle. Which angered her more. I will NEVER give this company a dime of my money. I would think someone in this role would be kind and compassionate. DO NOT COME HERE. I will be scheduling with PetSmart. My friend’s MIL had a bad...
Read moreThe first time that I went I thought that they were very nice the cashier answered a lot of my questions which were about live plants, and she told me when to come back when they get there fish shipment, is usually when the new plants come in I went back that Wednesday to check like she told me to do and another worker told me there was no such thing Okkkkkkkkkayyyyy, I still patronized the store and went back again as I stood inline the cashier was ringing someone else up in front of me and she started motioning with her index finger and I looked behind me and asked what,( couldn't hear what the finger said) She said stand over there that is where the line is because she did not want other customers to come in and get nervous, I understood where she said she wanted the line, but her guiding me with only her finger like I was a child and she had to tell me more than once thing kind of teed me off a bit, I believe that I have grandchildren older than her and none of them or their parents talk to me in that manner like I am a child. So with that and the beginning of everything else that was the last straw I realized at that point that I was not wanted in that store so I put my items back and went out the door, and told her as I was leaving, the last thing that I wanted to do that day is make a bunch of people nervous and vowed not to ever go back and I have not. I found this really nice pet store and it is even closer and the people there treat me like they really want me to come back, the name of that place is...
