Sierra Noodle House — Restaurant in Fontana

First time here and I must say: pretty solid experience if it weren't for two annoying mishaps. We're looking to return soon to continue supporting this local business and give it another go.

FOOD We ordered the veggie rolls for appetizers, veggie chow mein, garlic green beans and veggie fried rice. We were hoping for egg noodles and received those thin crispy ones in a gravy sauce. Not a big fan of the chow mein. The garlic green beans were delicious and could have used a little more garlic for our taste, but overall - real good. The veggie fried rice was...in a word - DELICIOUS!

Please know that this is an Asian fusion restaurant that serves pho, ramen and several other delicious looking dishes.

We drank two Cokes that included refills - thank you!

AMBIANCE/DECOR The decor had an Asian feel and was very clean (including the bathrooms). Very happy with the decor.

The ambiance is welcoming toward families and perhaps couples on a date night.

MISHAPS We found ourselves having to request silverware and small dishes for our appetizers. We expected "family style", and again found the need to request dinner plates once the food was delivered. The waitress brought us bowls instead, but we requested dinner plates - again. Please just bring out dinner plates from the beginning.

The silverware had a dirty look to it. We tried cleaning it, but it seemed like the silverware was just severely scratched or old. Please provide clean silverware that doesn't force us to pause for silverware inspection or question cleanliness.

SERVICE Our young waitress ("J" something...Jenness?) was very polite, professional and regularly checked in on our table. THANK YOU!!!

Let me start off by letting everyone who reads this knows that the food is good I really enjoyed it and so did my son . So the cook is awesome I believe he. or she is the only reason they keep business. Anyway so today I met up with my son for his bday at this restaurant the hostess was not professional she did not even speak to sit us. She nodded her head to let us know where to sit. Rude very rude, so then we sit and place our order in. So our food comes but not all of it we noticed that 1 of the fried cheesecakes was missing so as our waiter comes back I let her know she then goes on to tell me that she will have it to go for us and ready when we are ready to leave... Kind of off since I did not ask her to do this. Then bill comes and mind you $80.00 is not cheap but I am willing to pay whatever for good food and good service. I let one of the other waiters know about the situation with the cheese cake he looks at my receipt and leaves to talk to somebody. Well 1 minute later comes back to tell me that they served both of cheesecakes on 1 plate. 4 rolls each order a total of 8 on 1 plate. So now I am rea lly confused I did not ask for 2 orders on 1 plate!!!. Food was good but because of the service I won't be...

Update: I have been coming here since they opened. This place still remains the best noodle house in San Bernardino County. I get the beef pho every, single, time. Shaken is also incredible. The kids love the chicken teriyaki plates. There are so many good dishes here. There is something for everyone. Including gluten free. I have Vietnamese friends who had me try some other local spots, and NONE of them compare. This establishment sanitary policies are some of the best I've seen. They messed up one order one time, and they made it right the next order I had. Friendly staff. Please give this place a try.

Finally, a local noodle house that is super is super good! We were pleasantly surprised at how nicely decorated it is. Very hip. Good music is playing, too... AND VERY CLEAN!!! We ordered the pork egg rolls for an appetizer. Very fresh and crispy. Loved the dipping sauce served alongside. Hubby got the garlic shrimp pasta. He was nearly licking the plate. I ordered the beef broth noodle bowl with brisket and thinly sliced beef, vegetables, and herbs served alongside. Broth is phenomenal!!!!!
