EDIT: I came in during lunchtime, hoping for some good sushi. The squid salad was really good and tasty, but the roll, I had high hopes for and it really was disappointing, the eel was cold and just laid on top of the rolls. The rolls were really small, not very well structured, and the spicy tuna was underwhelming, not even spicy. Maybe I just ordered the wrong roll but I’ve had better sushi at Sam’s Club. As for service: When I walked in, no one greeted me at the host stand, the server I had was nice at first, she was able to get me extra eel sauce and vinegar but as I closed out my check and got my take out prepared, I went to the restroom to change my daughter and when I came back she threw away my drink, and my packed up takeout box that still had half a roll of sushi left, and then proceeded to give me grief about not tipping on the credit card processor. I wasn’t finished with my restaurant visit and not everyone tips on credit card btw!She proceeded to walk away from me as I was pulling out my wallet to give her a cash tip. All things considered, I don’t think I will ever return here, for a sushi restaurant, it has subpar sushi and way overpriced and the servers...

We went last night at 8:00. It was nearly 10:00 by the time we got all of our meal. Things were served wrong. Soup no spoons, stir fry which consisted mostly of Cabbage like 4 shrimp and 6 prices of chicken. No rice. We have eaten here before and had decent drinks and good stir fry and tacos. I can tell you that the food was way off the manager needs to be fired. We will not be going back. Unless I We are garrenteed, well I don’t know what. It was never spectacular in the past but it was comfortable and decent food. If they do not do something fast, like get decent cooks, managers other people who care then they are done. Who ever owns this place needs to stop by. They acted like they were slammed but the place was nearly empty. The outside lights were not turned on. We have had upset stomachs all day today and the 2 tacos that were ready at 9:55 last night are going in the trash. I really hope someone shows ip who cares??!!! Our waitress Mary was very nice and apologetic. I wish she had just told us not to stay and we could have gone...

The seaweed salad is amazing. However the first time I ate there the food was good. But the second and last time, I ordered takeout. And the food was hard to eat. It was as if the cook didn't know how to cook the meals. Ingredients was missing from the sushi and the the soft taco shells was so stale it was breaking apart. The first time we had the Jalapeño poppers. The Jalapeño was sliced skinny and long like a fry with no stuffing. And the cream cheese was on the side for dipping. However when we ordered it to go thinking we were ordering the same appetizer (which we got 2 orders of this time). It was whole half of Jalapeños with the cream cheese on the top and fried (and it wasn't spicy). Which I actually preferred and enjoyed the first way. I'm not sure how it supposed to be cooked. But since I'm a stuffed Jalapeño fan I thought it was going to be ok. But it was tasteless, soft and not enjoyable at all. I didn't understand why the stars was low on google prior to. But after tonight, I can...

Good crowd but never busy. Lots of action at the bar. Some families with kids. Overhead music was a bit too loud. Open floor plan with lots of space. Outdoor patio seating was still under construction. My sushi was good. The blackened salmon BLT tako was bland and disappointing. The salmon was small and hardly blackened. The pork belly was also small and unflavorful. Service was good. Drinks were good. Not everything was running smoothly (technology) but it is the first day open. Hopefully things will smooth out. Miss this place since it left Assembly street. I don't go downtown. Lots of parking finally! Will come back and review again. This is what my neighborhood Baskin Robbins ice cream shoppe turned into...

Do you want Tacos? Sushi? Why not both? TakoSushi does exactly that. They feature a solid sushi menu next to a solid list of tacos. They’ve got all the apps from both sides that you’d expect like potstickers & queso. And they also feature an interesting array of cocktails. Food-wise they do things a bit more upscale, so you can expect a higher price tag but the quality is there. I’ve tried their sushi and tacos and have to say that both are about equally as good. This location is right next to Lowes Foods and has both indoor and outdoor seating so the location is pretty solid with tons of parking. This is the spot to go if you’re game to try some interesting fusion.
