Having gone around to some of the ice cream shops in Sonoma County, I would say Angela's Organic rates among the highest. There are also quite a few locations, so it makes it easy to get an excellent ice cream.
I went to this one today after lunch and was very happy with my single scoop of Naughty Nana. I am always looking for more banana ice cream, because I think the fruit lends itself so well to ice cream! And this flavor did not disappoint. It was super creamy and decadent with a bold flavor of natural banana. No Runt-candy flavor of banana at all! I would love to try a banana and crunchy peanut butter flavor, one day(hint-hint!).
The interior of the store looks very nice and seemed to have been a clothing store at some point in the building's life. It should also be noted Angela's Organic has a ton of flavors, and seasonal ones as well, so there should be something for everyone! I would personally give Angela's Organic a high recommendation.
Also, on my visit today, there was a "Karen" in the store that was very rude to the associate serving and running the register. This customer talked down to the associate and kept saying "I know it isn't (organic)". The customer kept making a HUGE stink about the mix-ins and toppings not being organic. [At the time of writing this, I cannot confirm nor deny this accusation.] The whole scene was really cringe and awkward.
Luckily, Miss Silvia handled the "Karen" like a pro and kept their composure and was extremely understanding. If the store manager is reading this review, you have a real champ in this associate, and they deserve some positive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've stopped in five times. Each time has become progressively worse. Flavor inconsistency and lack of depth, service is slow, employees are inattentive bordering on insolent and things like Milkshakes ($10.95) are poorly made. Today, we ordered 3 milkshakes and despite five portions in two orders ahead of us, we waited over 30 minutes to get them made. Mine was watery, no ice cream left. Each was different consistency, even the two made by the same employee.
The two guys I was with said "Yes" to whipped cream, which was sprayed from a off-the-shelf can, and we were charged a $1.00 for each as a "classic topping". I protested, eyeroll and attitude from the clerk. A can of commercial whip cream has 61 portions, costs $3.00 and he charged me $2.00 for two squirts and acted like I was an incredible as*hole.
Training is hard. Getting employees to move with more than glacial disinterest, harder. A customer stood there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to pay attention to him so he could get a SPOON. Combine the obvious lack of training and worse, really a total lack of quality or concern from the employees means this is a never-again business.
If you're interested in ice-cream some of the flavors seem promising, just make sure it's empty and stick with as simple an order as you can, or it will end up being expensive and disappointing like each...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love to support my locals and was so excited to see Angela's open. Stopped by with my daughters and was disappointed three ice creams and just not that great in flavor, portion, and price. Service was lackluster and not that friendly or welcoming, thought maybe an off day. Came again 3 weeks laterthinking it'll be better this time had 15 min. Before closing. There was a family in front and witnessed a man get a really expensive "Sunday" when he got it it looked like the child in him died. There was a small scoop of ice cream, chocolate and nuts in a clear water cup. The saddest Sunday I've ever seen. The man said, "Have any whip cream, the zombie behind the counter just said "no". It was almost comical but again we were disappointed with our service, product and quality. I hope that this improves and is taken more as constructive criticism to address you short falls. But at this point it's going to be a while before I try for the third time. Good luck.
As far as the date and time I can't say for sure, sorry. Perhaps, a...
