Our visit to Taco Loco this evening was, unfortunately, our first and last. Upon entering, the heat was noticeable, which is understandable this time of year. However, the portable A/C units were incredibly loud, making it extremely difficult to hear the two employees working. Neither employee was friendly or welcoming, which immediately set a negative tone. The restaurant's style is similar to Qdoba or Chipotle, where you choose your ingredients. However, I was shocked to find that for items like quesadillas, they only add meat before placing it on a flat top grill to warm. After my food was on the grill, I asked for toppings. The second female employee on the line gave me an incredibly dirty look. She scooped a tiny spoonful of the topping I requested, opened my food while it was still on the grill, slapped the spoon down, closed the tortillas, and then aggressively threw the spoon back into its container. I was completely stunned but waited for my food and paid. When my food was ready, the same employee spoke so quickly and quietly that I couldn't understand her, especially over the A/C noise and the glass barrier. When I asked her to repeat herself, she did so quickly again, with even more attitude, and I still couldn't understand. I took my food, tried it, and found it bland and dry, especially with only one of the four toppings I wanted. After the line died down, I asked if I could have toppings and why they weren't put on before cooking. I received a completely disrespectful response and attitude, with her curtly stating, "we don't do that." I then asked if I could at least have my toppings on the side. Seemingly annoyed again, they gave me two toppings. I had to finish making my own meal, which is something I'd expect to do at home, not when paying for a restaurant service. Even with the added toppings, the food was bland and had a lot of fat that I had to discreetly spit out, which was embarrassing in a public setting. I barely ate a quarter of my meal and was utterly disgusted, ready to leave. When my husband asked about where to put our trash, the employees simply stared at him and pointed to a trash can around a corner, without saying a word. Not once did we hear a "thank you," or any form of kind welcome or politeness that you'd anticipate at a restaurant, especially a small business. This lack of courtesy extended to all customers who came and went during our visit. I would never, ever recommend Taco...
Read moreI used to have a 5 star review for this restaurant because it was and still is a very good place to eat. But if the younger girl is working just walk out. I tried so hard to not leave this review but enough is enough. If anyone else makes my food its fine but I've told this girl multiple times "light on the beans" and she decides that means a pound of beans ok whatever no big deal, thats spilled milk. Then it comes to the quesso which is already a dollar upcharge (again its whatever) but she'll put a DROP of that on and usually I don't want to say anything and be that guy but this time I told her to put more quesso on it. In my mind, dont charge me a dollar extra and then put five cents worth on there. So she puts more on there so I think ok we're good. Time to check out comes and she charges me TWICE for the queso. I paid and decided this will be the last time I go there as long as she works there. I work down the street a lot building and made sure my whole crew didnt go back by taking lunch before they open. I know that the owner and other workers do everything right and dont deserve this review but I've been here a lot and this gringo is tired of this girl screwing me over. Its already a dollar extra just because the cheese is liquid. Talk to...
Read moreI visited Taco Loco in Foristell with my 9-year-old daughter around 6:40 PM on 1/31/2025. We ordered a kids meal with a beef taco and a three-taco meal for myself, which included chorizo, carnitas, and al pastor tacos. The food was a mixed bag—the carnitas taco was absolutely delicious and the highlight of the meal, while the chorizo was underwhelming and the al pastor was decent but nothing special.
Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. I noticed the staff being noticeably more courteous and friendly with other customers, which made me feel unwelcome. It’s hard not to wonder if there was some bias in how I was treated.
Overall, it was a “meh” experience. The food had its highs and lows, and the service didn’t make me feel valued as a customer. I’m unsure if I’ll return, but I hope they can improve their consistency and customer service...
