The service was lacking. Drinks took a while to receive, and the food came out wrong initially. The place was pretty empty, so I'm not sure why. My wife had the smokey old fashioned. She really liked it but stated that there is no way that they used Rye whisky as stated on the menu. I had two beers. The hazy ipa was mediocre. The other ipa was delicious. The food. We started with the onion rings. That's misleading because there really isnt any onion to speak of. It's basically battered circles with onion skin. My son loved his grilled cheese. The mac & cheese came out slightly above room temp and reminded us of buffet mac & cheese. It was very bland but better once we added salt. The fries were delicious. The burgers were tasty with the exception of the meat. It was extremely dry and overcooked. I didn't like that, if you want to substitute a different cheese, you have to choose the "build your own burger" option, which will increase the cost of your burger substantially. We sat outside on the side deck. All of the tables had paint peeling and covered in rust. Not ideal. They did offer a 10% veteran discount off of food, which is very cool. But even with that, the quality of food, service, and tables do not justify the cost. We love to eat at local places while traveling. When they have a 4+ review, they are usually great. Next time we come through, we will try the pizza place across the street.

I wish I could give Fox City Brewing 10 stars. We had been traveling all day and were absolutely exhausted on Saturday, 6/10/23. We didn't walk in until 9:30 (they close at 10:00), and I was worried we would frustrate the staff being a new table near closing time. They treated us exactly the opposite. The Blonde at reception was so kind, helpful, and actually gave us the option to sit wherever we would like. She even encouraged us to look around to pick the place we liked the most. I was absolutely blown away. After settling outside, our server, Brittany, was the greatest server a couple could ask for. She was knowledgeable, patient, and reassured us multiple times to enjoy our meal after we apologized for coming in so late. If that wasn't enough, the Buffalo Chicken Dip and our burgers were out of this world. The beer sampler was perfect addition to our delicious food. I would have happily paid $125+ for such mouthwatering food and impeccable service, but I am not lying when I say our bill for everything was $50. Thank you, Brittany and Fox City Brewing for such an awesome experience while stopping in Forsyth.

First time coming here and my wife and I really enjoyed it! We started off with the fried green tomatoes and they were good but I would have liked them to been a little more crunchier, they were a little too soggy for me and the Sriracha ranch that they drizzled on top wasn't enough sauce for us so we asked for a side which they charged us $0.50 for. I had the gumbo which was fantastic, so flavorful and my wife had the Taco trio which they were good she just said the chicken one was a little dry but overall 8 out of 10. We also had their beer I cannot remember the name of it but I remember she said it was brewed with a blood orange,it was very delicious. Our server was very nice but we did have to chase her down for refills and she took a while to bring us the ranch that we asked for our fried green tomatoes, we were almost done eating them before the ranch arrived. If you like live bands they have that too. Their was a band about to start as we were leaving. The atmosphere was great. Overall we'll definitely eat here again and I'll highly recommend everyone to this restaurant and brewery.

Had trouble with making the initial reservation. Once we arrived we were seated promptly. The server had absolutely no personality and even less knowledge about the menu. Ordered the appetizer of pub fries which were good. Tried to order entrees of stuffed chicken breast and brisket sliders. They were out of both. Asked about the soup of the day and the ravioli but were told they have never had those items. We settled for a burger and fried shrimp which were decent but not exceptional in any way. The check was presented and we were not offered dessert. We had to ask for a chocolate lava cake and that would have been good if served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall not a good experience. Since Fox City has not been open very long, we will give them a month or so and try again. Hopefully we will have a better experience.

I am updating this review to a 3 star rating because the owner of Fox City was willingly to speak to me about my experience. After speaking to him I believe the issues are being addressed and we will be returning to Fox City very soon. I will again update my review after a return trip. Thanks to George for your willingness to speak to me. I appreciate that!

08/22/20...Visited again tonight and the service provided by Tammy was exceptional! Everyone’s meal was prepared well. The steaks were cooked as ordered and the stuffed chicken was very good. It is stuffed with a pimento cheese and I would like to have had more in the chicken only because it was so good. Tasted four different brews with the beer flight and each was unique. Based on the food and service we received tonight I am updating this review to five stars. All of the problems we encountered on our first visit were addressed and I am confident that Fox City will continue providing excellent food and service. We look forward to...

We absolutely enjoyed our date at Fox’s City Brewing Co. we had Kaitlin as our waitress and she was so helpful as this was our first time eating there. She was so helpful when we asked what she preferred. We ordered the pretzel and I ordered wings and my husband ordered a burger. The building itself was sooooo charming! There were so many authentic characteristics to it and it was so spacious! We didn’t have a hard time keeping ourselves apart from other customers. They had little bubble lights in strands draped around in areas and THEY ARE MY FAVORITE. When I see them it just makes me think of how the roof top restaurants in my favorite tv shows decorate. They add just enough light but are still dainty and cute.

The pretzel was about 12 inches tall and had a mustard dip pjs sauce and a cheese dipping sauce. It was hot and steaming when you tore it apart from the whole one. It was like the ones I have seen on Diners, Drive-in’s and Dives on the Food Network.

The wings were crispy on the outside and drenched with sauce. The inside was perfectly cooked without being slimy, I HATE slimy wings. I’m not sure if the ranch was homemade but it was thick enough to stay on my wing but thin enough it spread out well and lasted till the end.

The burger was fantastic and had a scoop of the pimento cheese on top that melted all gooey over the patty. It contained smoked Gouda and was delicious.

We both had some of the fries which I was expecting to be curly fries but these fries, y’all—they were like curly potato logs or some fry hybrid. They were crunch and seasoned and ADDICTIVE!

We will be going back soon! We love about 45 minutes away and it was absolutely worth the drive!! In fact, let me know and we will meet you, I need an excuse!!

Well done, Forsyth! Well, done!...

Our family was very excited to dine at this restaurant/brewery, as we pre-planned this stop into our Forsyth trip months ago. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The server was very friendly, though couldn’t answer any of my food or beverage questions about ingredients. I asked her to please go ask for me since I have food sensitivities and she forgot. Perhaps she had too many tables and was weeded..maybe the restaurant was understaffed, but everything for our group was delayed, sub par, forgotten, or just plain incorrect. A few key happenings: our round of Old Fashion’s large ice cubes were half melted by the time they arrived, the food was mediocre because it had sat for too long before being delivered…and then no silverware.. I could taste the potential of it all to be wonderful, but the service imploded. Once the bills came they were all wrong, had to reprint, then I realized the server had tacked on an “auto gratuity” to our party of 6, and did not let us know. So two other couples had already signed their checks & left unknowingly. I’m not sure if there is a hard rule in place, but I feel the right thing to do is to inform your guests when adding gratuity. Otherwise it can be viewed as a shady maneuver. Our server disappeared once she gave us the bill, so I asked another server if the “service charge” on our check meant an auto gratuity was added, and she danced around the question uncomfortably several times. I continued to rephrase my simple question before she said yes. The potential was all there, unfortunately we didn’t...
