Fun quick stop to get ice cream for the family. There is a drive thru and two windows open on hot days. They have cones, dishes, pints, and some specialties for certain flavors or dishes. They have all your regular flavors along with a special flavor of the week, and a menu of other varieties of flavors for the shakes and malts. There are tables set in front and along the driveway if you want to eat there during the weather permitting days. It's a cute spot for a quick treat or to take friends and or family. My children love when they have the Blue Moon ice cream as the special of the week, so now I stop by once a week to check so we don't miss it. It is ice cream, not custard. I suppose this review is a long time coming now, so I might as well get it out of the way. If you live in town, there are two places you will go to treat yourself, The Fireside and Frostie Freeze. If you haven't learned of the great variety that ice cream dishes can have I wouldn't blame you but this is the only ice cream shop in my travels across the country where they offer truly excellent banana splits. Of course for the more standard options you have your shakes, malts, cones, and dipped cones, all in flavors you might not even know existed. I have been going to the Janesville Frosty Freeze for about 47 years. They are located on West Court Street in Janesville, Wisconsin.You get more ice cream and larger portions at a cheaper price than anywhere in town. I cannot even have Banana Split at DQ after having had one at Frosty Freeze. The people working there are friendly and fast. There is only outside dinning or drive up service. Depending on the weather Frosty Freeze opens April/May and usually stays open until Labor Day. They hire a lot of High Schoolers. This is as far as I know their only location.
