Meyer Family Cellars — Restaurant in Fort Bragg

I stumbled upon Meyer Family Cellars tasting room while visiting Mendocino on a holiday from my home in Napa. Just a little curious “who is making wine in Mendocino” I strolled in and met none other than Kacy, just an amazing representative of the Meyer family, and a lovely lady gifted in, what we call in the industry, just a great way with people. Extremely knowledgeable, and as friendly as you could ask for. She explained everything about the family, their roots and the industry, and about all the different lines we tasted.

Fantastic tasting experience! Our host Casey was very friendly and knowledgeable. She shared the history of the Meyer family and provided great tasting notes of the many wines she poured us. We did not know the connection of the family to the founding of Silver Oak, so that was interesting. We really enjoyed the wines as well, especially the Syrahs and Cabs. Cozy tasting room with a great location near the ocean. Would highly recommend, and look forward to visiting their winery in Yorkville...

We stumbled upon Meyer Family Cellars while on a hiking trip, and were surprised to find a rich history and amazing wines. The Meyer family were behind the vision, winemaking, and even the logo of the famous Silver Oak Vineyard in Oakville. In 2001, the Meyer family sold their stake in Silver Oak and committed to their own vineyards. As you can imagine, the wines are incredibly delicious for such a low-key, off the beaten path spot.
