Holy freaking COW (pun intended)! šš®š„©
This place is the real deal! I always put a lot of stock in word-of-mouth recommendations, and Longhorn Steakhouse exceeded the hype!!
Iāve had a lot of steaks in my day, and paid a wide range of prices for said steaks. Im not exaggerating when I say this was the best NY Strip steak I have EVER had!! I donāt know what kind of chef sorcery they are doing over there at Longhorn, but I got my steak cooked medium plus per out waitresses recommendation and it was the most juicy, perfectly cooked steak I have ever had. The sides were perfection as well, we both ordered the honey roasted brussel sprouts (sooo good) and the mashed potatoes (divine).
We started our meal with a mango strawberry Longpour margaritas- another amazing suggestion from our excellent server - and the fried onion appetizer. Perhaps we bit off a bit more than we could chew because we both threw in the towel about halfway through our steaks. My only regret is that I couldnt finish the whole thing. Despite being delicious I might skip the apps next time or just get one drink š
Truly, the service and food was exceptional. Such a great value and quality for a $22 NY Strip, sides included, when I could never cook a steak that good for the price you pay at the grocery store. Ive paid a lot more for steaks that were not even close to this good. Our audible YUMS drew looks from the table next to us - I mean, cmon, it doesnāt get much better than that.
I will definitely be returning soon and remembering this spot as a fantastic place to take a friend, date or family outing. The environment is casual yet comfortable and the food is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had not had the opportunity to eat here since right after they opened, so my wife wanted to go for her birthday. Just as they were last visit, the staff were all super friendly and inviting. We were seated right away, and the restaurant wasn't overly busy yet. We placed our order, and our appetizers came out very quickly (Firecracker Chicken Rolls...so yummy!).
There were a couple hiccups with our service and food, but they were very minor, and seemed to mostly relate to timing. There were at least one or two trainees working the floor, so I think that could have been where some confusion could've come from.
My shrimp arrived fairly cool to the touch, but our server and the Manager on duty both apologized, and that was corrected right away with a new order. Again, probably a timing issue during some training, as I like my steak cooked longer than most, which could really throw of timing. Our main course arrived before were received our salads, but that was rectified right away also.
Both of our steaks were cooked just the way we like them, and my wife loved her lobster tail. Unfortunately, we left no room for dessert! Staff was so nice, as was the MOD, and the small errors were handled quickly. Nothing to make any big fuss about. Our bill was much lower than we were expecting to spend on the night out, so that was nice too.
All and all, we had a very enjoyable meal, and will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLonghorn is a good looking restaurant, with a few problems. The decor was interesting and different, but the dining room was quite cramped and loud. I found the local beer selection to be quite limited and wait staff didn't seem to know what was on tap. The fried shrimp appetizer was delicious, but the waitress said she'd bring out some bread two times before it actually made it to the table.
After a long time, I was ready for the entrees to arrive, but then the salads came out. My daughter was brought the house salad when she ordered the pecan strawberry salad. She was so hungry she just dug in. Then, just a few minutes later the entrees came out. The steaks were properly cooked but too heavily seasoned for my taste. I know the menu says "boldly seasoned" but the over salted chicken seemed to burn my wife's lips! She cut off the outer ring of salty chicken and had a pleasant, if not small, portion of the dish. Then, my daughter's correct salad arrived just as she had thrown in the towel on the house salad. The waitress helpfully offered to pack it up for us.
The waitress was pleasant, but inattentive. Perhaps the restaurant was understaffed that night. The dining room was loud and tightly packed, so don't expect a quiet, private experience. The beer selection was lacking and the food was heavily salted. Other than that, we had...
