I went into my normal Starbucks this morning and clicked my same thing that I always do when I order on the app and this time it just happened to miss that it was it toasted and didn't have cream cheese with my bagel. I ordered the same bagel and my same latte. When I got to the counter my bagel is ready but not my latte which I had ordered 15 minutes prior I noticed that my bagel is not toasted and there's no country so I tell her the lady there this is supposed to be toasted have cream cheese she says to me oh it doesn't say that so you'll have to order it through the mobile app. So I told her she could have it back and could throw my drink away. All that I had already paid for. Now I worked for Starbucks for a year and a half and I know that if something is incorrect they fix it for you. I feel like as many times as I've had my orders messed up and not said a word, or gotten to work and my drink is wrong so I can't say anything... that they could have given me a 50 cent pack of cream cheese and not made me feel like I was trying to steal from them. I'm annoyed that this is such a big deal and that this Starbucks doesn't follow what the company has set for them. I won't be going back. I'll drive out of my way to actually get good service. If nothing else I'd at least like...
Read moreI walked over to this location, about half way there I realized I had forgotten my mask. I pulled my shirt up over my face hoping that I could speak with them to see if that was okay. I took about three steps in and got called out and told I couldn’t be inside.
The reason I’m giving five stars is because I’ve worked a lot of my life in the service industry and to be called out that quickly by staff means that they know they will be supported in doing the right thing by their management. Having a workplace where you feel safe to do the safe and right thing and be able to maintain that standard of care for your customers is an incredible thing.
While I was uncomfortable being called out, I was very happy to see they felt supported enough to do it and not have to obey to the ridiculous notion that “the customer is always right” in a time like now and was happy to do as I was told.
They took my order outside and everything was totally cool. Next time I’ll make sure to have a mask! You guys are great! Keep supporting your employees and customers by following what is right...
Read moreI frequently visit this Starbucks and have for years. My experience today was overwhelming as the new person behind the counter was persistently attempting to upsell my 5 year old daughter and came from behind the counter to talk to us unprompted. The last few visits an older lady has also been oftentimes confused and condescending. I have been a Starbucks customer since 17 and even a team member for near a decade through college and after. I don’t need a breakdown of what I’m ordering or an argument. I simply want to order my coffee and move on with my day.
Update: The store manager and a shift saw this review and followed up with me offering an apology and several gift cards. They recognized me when I came back in and told me that they are handling the situation by providing extra training to the barista on Starbucks policies. This was customer service at it’s best and shows that they also care about their barista’s enough to work with them on what is appropriate and...
