Located in the thriving city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Antojitos Mexicanos is a hidden gem that offers a gourmet tour into the heart of Mexico. I recently went to this restaurant, and I had a great time, and I want to tell you about it.

I was immediately taken to a raucous Mexican festival after entering Antojitos Mexicanos. The restaurant's vibrant furnishings, cheery soundtrack, and welcoming atmosphere made it the ideal setting for an authentic eating experience. With her warm and helpful service, our waitress Maria gave our meal a personal touch.

Right on US1, you blink and u miss this place. Walk in and you will see lots of colors, which is very mexican. Fun, vibrant colors. We were seated right away and our food was brought promptly. We had the tacos (al pastor and carne asada) and the green enchiladas. The enchiladas came with beans and rice. When you order the enchiladas, you have a choice of chicken or cheese. We got chicken for ours. Enchiladas were topped off with lettuce, tomato and crema (not sure why or if it was necessary but hey, when in rome, do like the greeks!) The tacos al pastor were really good. The carne asada tacos were good but the al pastor where better. Can’t go wrong...

It’s been very difficult to find great authentic Mexican cuisine in South Florida. I needed to look no further when I found Antojitos Mexicanos. Truly authentic food with A+ preparation and taste.
