Formal Complaint Regarding Customer Service at Dunkin’ Donuts on Broward Boulevard
1450 W Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the consistently poor customer service at the Dunkin’ Donuts location on Broward Boulevard. Time and time again, I have encountered rude and unprofessional behavior from the employees at this establishment, and it has reached a point where I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention.
Each visit to this location has been met with unnecessary attitude from the staff, creating an unwelcoming and unpleasant experience. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, yet I am repeatedly subjected to dismissive and unprofessional behavior. It seems to be a pattern at this location, as I have never received service without an unwarranted attitude from the employees.
A recent incident exemplifies this ongoing issue. When I ordered a latte, the employee rudely informed me that a latte is "not a coffee" in a condescending manner. This kind of response is not only incorrect but also completely unnecessary. Customers should not have to deal with employees who are argumentative or dismissive when simply placing an order.
This level of service is unacceptable for any business, let alone a well-known brand like Dunkin’ Donuts, which prides itself on customer satisfaction. It is clear that management at this location has failed to properly train or supervise their staff, as this behavior has become a norm rather than an exception. Customers should never feel hesitant or uncomfortable to place an order due to fear of rude treatment.
I urge Dunkin’ Donuts corporate management to take immediate action regarding the employees at this location. Whether it be additional training, disciplinary action, or a complete staff overhaul, something must be done to rectify this ongoing issue. The lack of professionalism at this establishment is damaging to your brand’s reputation, and if left unaddressed, will undoubtedly drive customers away.
I hope that this complaint is taken seriously and that corrective measures are implemented without delay. I would appreciate a response outlining what steps will be taken to address this...
Read moreI have never given a DD a one-star review. If it allowed for a zero-star option, I would have chosen it for this location. My husband and I travel extensively. We will drive 15-20 minutes out of our way to get DD coffee and avocado toast! However, this DD is a disgrace in every way. All the employees were surly, brusque and downright nasty, except for one young man at the window. He didn't remain at the window and was replaced by an employee who was so churlish that we were stunned. I asked for more cream and sugar. That same female employee behaved as if I asked her to wait on 500 customers at once. We asked for extra cream and sugar IN the coffee when we ordered. We didn't get it. The coffee was lukewarm at best. DD always serves extremely hot coffee, which is my favorite part of every visit. It was an enormous disappointment to be given lukewarm coffee with no extra cream and sugar. One of the other employees walked by the window and scowled at my husband. We were flabbergasted again! From the moment our order was taken by a curt employee until we drove off, the service was as inferior as we've ever experienced. I am dumbfounded that a DD can employ these types of employees. I asked the woman who treated us the worst for the store number. She wouldn't divulge the number to me. I asked her if the street the location was on was Broward, and she said it was but wasn't happy about admitting it. I think what amazes me the most is that Ft Lauderdale FL is a huge vacation destination. It's famous for the beautiful beaches, the great seafood and all things coastal. To have a DD store in the middle of the city, full of unruly employees, is outright stupefying to me! The management needs a total overhaul and transformation. I'm even contacting DD corporate over our experience there. I try my best to walk in holiness in every way, every day. I try to give grace and mercy to everyone who crosses my path. I would not have given this review if it were just one employee, maybe even two, who may have been having a bad day due to family issues, money problems, illness, etc. To have a building full of rude, sullen and unfriendly employees needs to be brought to light. If you read this review, drive right by that location. There are other...
Read moreTamekia, I believe was her name took my order via Drive-Thru. I ordered the $6 meal deal on the croissant and for the free donut via my ap I wanted the blueberry glazed donut. After receiving my food I asked Kim (shift mgr) for the receipt I wanted to ensure I was not charged for the donut, however after pulling off I noticed I was charged for a sausage egg and cheese croissant and not the bacon deal. I proceeded to pull in park go in the store to explain I have the wrong sandwich it was not the meal deal. Immediately Tamekia with an attitude at 6:20 am yells "well you can't get a free donut with the meal deal it's one or the other" Excuse me It was an offer on my ap with any purchase of a drink I proceeded to say I will just take a refund. I do not want angry people preparing my food! This location really needs a management, customer service professional development. Please reach out to me if I can be of assistance with that as I am a facilitator who teach/train. I must say Kim (shift mgr) did refund my funds back to my rewards card and offer to prepare the correct meal for me but again at this point I see all the attitudes, therefore I do no want it. This location is horrible. Just a week and a half ago my daughter who is a disabled veteran had a traumatic experience at this location and I had to dial 911 chairs were being thrown, cursing, etc. which caused my daughter's PTSD to flare up and she ended up at the VA for an appointment due to the traumatic experience at this location. Corporate management really needs to step in and revamp. The professionalism of this location is null and void. The satin caps, the cursing and attitude is not very customer friendly in a society where we as consumers have so many choices. Just know this consumer will not patronize this location ever again due to my traumatic, unprofessional...
