Reciprocal members beware.
The good. Cool venue. Modern. On the water. Not crowded. This is why we came.
The bad. You have to call like 4 times in a row to talk to a human. They make you go online and register as a reciprocal guest which was told to me only after the 4th person i spoke to knew what was going on. They don’t tell you but I was hit with an $80 fee to have myself and 5 guests eat dinner there just for walking through the door. Wait staff was nice but knew nothing about the menu or cocktails. Every question was “let me ask my manager” which was then followed by “manager doesn’t know either.” Awesome. Food took forever to come out. Which leads me to…
The ugly. Three out of the 6 entrees were not cooked well. All steaks were overcooked and tough. Multiple requests were wrong (nothing crazy. Just “no butter on my broccolini” etc)
My meal had a hair in it. They did remove this from the $500 bill but did not remove the $80 reciprocal charge. They comp’d us three deserts which were the best thing in the meal besides the wine.

I was looking at their photos outside the closed "Commodore's Room" and thinking how cool it must be to be one of those guys, how high the bar is, to not just join the club, but to be in one of those positions. Then as I was leaving the Commodore and the Fleet Surgeon were arriving, smiling and laughing, both tall and strong looking older guys, and it made the place even more impressive. If you can join...
Read moreI recently contacted the Lauderdale Yacht Club to offer services for Window Tinting for Vessels with Marine Grade Approved film by the U.S Coast Guard for the Boat Captains and members alike. I was blocked and deleted from the group here on Facebook for trying to network with a team of professionals to help offer my services since I live locally here in Fort Lauderdale and have an opportunity to help provide here for my family. Very sad times we live in here and should be taken into account that for an establishment that preaches excellence to just shut someone is a really...
