holiday inn — Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

This was and still is the most disrespectful and disgusting experience I have ever had in my life with a hotel. I was supposed to check in early morning July 30th 2022 and had already expressed that when booking, but MIKE at the front desk said I had to pay for the 29th as well, I was upset but was fine with it and paid the 455.80 to the hotel.....but after paying MIKE refused to give me a room stating that the money was not withdrawn from my account, but my bank statement and navy Federal said it was and MIKE refused to believe it even when I showed him and had the bank call him, he also did not believe the IHG representative when they said the money was withdrawn, even Ft Lauderdale police said it was withdrawn and he didn't belive it...then MARIA the manager called argued with me and said it never happened even tho I have a case number and witnesses!!!!

I swear I will never use another IHG property and will make sure I put this hotel and the rest of IHGs in this area on the military black list.

Luckily I do have proof and all the case numbers to charge this as fraud.

My suggestion to anyone (civilians and military/government employees especially) STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY THEY...

*45 minute wait to get picked up from airport *Confirmed it was a 6 person room went to the room #623 pull out the pull out couch and it was broken shown in pictures below *Had to ask 5 times for blanket and pillows to sleep on the floor shown in pictures below as well. The child in the room also almost split his head open on the metal hanging out of the pull out couch *Blow Dryer didn't work **Went down to ask for the last time for blankets when we met Fom Maher and he said that he was going to call the fire department and have us kicked out if we keep coming with complaints for him putting us in supposedly "4 person room" he put us in even though our reservation is for a 1 room 6 guest * *Majority of plug in didn't work in the room When we spoke to Fom Maher the next morning he was unapologetic and he kept saying it was our fault for being put in a "4 person" room and said he would not do anything for us

HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOLIDAY INN AS YOU SEE HOW OUR STAY WAS ABOVE WITH UNSAFE CONDITIONS AND HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT...

I am staying at the hotel for 2 nights and will definitely only be staying here from now on (and I travel to Fort Lauderdale several times a year). First things first. Huge THANK YOU to Gabriel for EXCEPTIONAL customer service. He is efficient, kind, and yes, first impressions (from desk, reservations) are super important. LOCATION: literally my favorite street with so many stores within walking distance. The beach, Las Olas, parks, cafes, restaurants - minutes away! FREE breakfast was delicious! Looking forward to my second one tomorrow lol. The room is spacious with the most comfortable bed, and has a desk (important for me, because I work 24 7 and remotely). The rooms and the grounds are super clean. Property has a pool, laundry facilities. Color me impressed. And when you add affordability to that - well, 5...
