I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I just drove by it on a Friday around 2 p.m. and decided to stop in. Since the restaurant is located in a large street mall area, there’s plenty of free parking around. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating, and I chose to sit inside. The indoor area was well maintained, very clean, and decorated simply but pleasantly. I also liked the fact that the kitchen was open. The hostess was super sweet, and so was my waiter. The restaurant’s menu is large and mostly focused on traditional Thai food, but it also has a big sushi roll section – a concept I personally loved. I ordered Fried Pork Gyoza and Chicken Pad Thai. The food came out quickly: the gyoza in about 8 minutes, and the Pad Thai in around 15 minutes. The portions were big and filling. I got 5 pieces of gyoza – crispy on the outside and filled with flavorful pork. The Chicken Pad Thai was wonderful – lots of great flavors, and the noodles were soft and perfectly cooked. Food-wise, I have nothing negative to say. For my drink, I ordered Thai Tea, which was extremely tasty as well. My bill for everything was around $30, which I found very reasonable considering how delicious the food and drink were. Overall, the menu prices seemed fair, including the sushi rolls. The restaurant accepts Apple Pay, which is a plus. The only small downside I can mention is the restaurant’s location – it’s a bit out of the way from downtown Fort Lauderdale or the beach, and not very convenient if you don’t have a car. I’ll definitely come back here to try more dishes, and I can 100% recommend this place if you’re looking for tasty Thai food in...

Prepare your taste buds for a cosmic adventure because 17th Street Sushi and Thai just teleported me to a food dimension I never knew existed! 🚀🍣

Picture this: I embarked on a uni sashimi odyssey that left my taste buds doing a standing ovation. I'm talking about uni so delicious, it could convince a sea urchin to come out of retirement just for an encore. In fact, I ordered 9 pieces of this majestic delight, because anything less would be a culinary injustice.

Then, hold onto your chopsticks, because the ikura made its entrance – fresh, crisp, and so mind-bogglingly tantalizing that I almost offered it a seat at my table. 🐟💥

But wait, the real star of the show – the ponzu jalapeño salmon sashimi. Friends, I am convinced that angels sprinkled this dish with stardust before it graced my plate. Each bite was like a rollercoaster of flavor, and I half-expected the chef to pop out of the kitchen and take a bow.

Oh, and did I mention the happy hour? I sipped beers from mugs frostier than the Arctic in winter. It was like Mother Nature herself was offering me a chilly high-five for making such a fantastic dining decision. 🍻❄️

In a world full of disappointments, 17th Street Sushi and Thai is a shining beacon of culinary delight. Seriously, if they started offering classes on how to defy taste bud physics, I'd be first in line. So, buckle up, food adventurers, because this place is a gastronomic supernova that refuses to let your taste...

Tucked away on 17th Street, this Thai-Sushi fusion spot delivers an exceptional dining experience that blends freshness, flavor, and finesse.

We started with the Papaya Salad, which was perfectly spiced—crisp, vibrant, and just the right level of heat to awaken the palate. The Kanisu followed, offering a refreshing burst of cucumber-wrapped crab and avocado, lightly dressed in rice vinegar—a perfect palate cleanser and a personal favorite.

The Green Salad may sound simple, but it was surprisingly vibrant, with ultra-fresh greens and a house-made ginger dressing that struck a great balance between zesty and savory.

When it came to sushi, the Sakura Roll was a standout—beautifully plated, packed with fresh fish, and an excellent mix of texture and taste. The Hamachi Sashimi (served as Hamachi Jalapeño) was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a delicate kick from the jalapeño that elevated the buttery yellowtail without overpowering it.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, the ambiance cozy yet modern, and the attention to detail truly made the meal memorable. A hidden gem worth returning to...
