This restaurant took the place of Franco's Sette Bello, near the old Wells Fargo bank building on the NW corner of Federal and NE 62nd St (Cypress Creek Rd). They had big shoes to fill. So far, they are managing to attract a sizable following. Curiosity among the folks who frequent Outback, on the other side of the 'L' shaped strip mall, and who used to go to the now closed WellsFargo, is obviously high, so I'm sure alot of the 1st timer's here are there to see whether this is a up and coming Fort Lauderdale institution, like its predecessor, or whether they can make it at all with so many Sushi and Thai themed venues within a 7 mile radius.

Well, if the staff can help it, they should do fine. Didn't speak with all of them on duty while we were there for lunch, but heard them, and they are all in the advanced stages of speaking "American" every day, so they understood us perfectly, and we could communicate just fine. They are obviously proud of their fare. I had a bento box, which was more of an assortment of sashimi and sushi, with an inclusive traditional ginger dressed salad, than the traditional variety of the bento, but was nonetheless perfectly fresh, ample in quantity and I knew from the choices on the menu ahead of ordering that it was going to be an all fish repast. My friend had an assortment of well prepared and intricate rolls, none of which were just traditional, they were all complex and delicious. Will definitely return for a dinner. Alot of competition around, so I hope they can continue the quality and consistency, and the good vibes created by the wait staff. Good luck my new friends. Keep up...

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and happened to be passing by at lunch time today. The menu is vast and inquiries were met with a lot of attention - overall good service from beginning to end.

The food however is average. The flavors are not very intricate,. For example the tom kha soup, which usually has a variety of herbs and spices , tasted as if it was just warm coconut milk instead of as the menu indicated with lime and chili . Usually there is also a heavy lemongrass and or Ginger flavor but this had none of that. The portion was also incredibly small for the $7 price tag.

The lunch entree had the same issue, the flavors were okay but very slight and the portion was incredibly small .There was no hint of basil in the sauce of the basil stir fry, there was a very light savory clear sauce and the stir fry seemed to be topped with a couple dashes of basil. That's definitely not what one expects.

Be advised, lunch here doesn't come with anything more than white rice , it's a la carte just as dinner. I could see justifying the $12 for the lunch portion or even maybe a dollar more if it came with a soup or salad.

I'm glad I finally tried it but definitely would not return not even if it was more...

Musashi is hidden in a small plaza sandwiched between a locals only pub and an upscale Italian restaurant. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the waitstaff always provide excellent service. Everyone greets you when you walk in and bids you farewell as you leave. The ambiance is casual and quite relaxing.

They have Thai food on the menu with a good sushi selection. There's plenty of sake and wine to choose from. I have experienced a lot on their menu. Soups and stir-frys, plenty of curries, the various selection of thai noodle dishes, sushi and various appetizers. The entries always provide bountiful portions and are very delicious. When it comes to sushi, I prefer ordering nigiri (sushi laid on top of rice) and it never disappoints here. The sushi rice is prepared properly and the rice to fish ratio is always on point.

Between having some of the friendliest staff in town, attentive services and good quality food,I always feel like I get my money's worth here. The food and the service at Musashi is always top notch. They have some of the friendliest staff in town. I've been visiting this restaurant for several years and have never had a bad experience here. I strongly...

Musashi was located in a small strip plaza along Federal Highway offering both Thai and Japanese cuisine. There wasn't much people inside and I could already feel a sense of serenity as the hostess allowed me to sit at any available table. Instantly a friendly female server approached the table and asked if I wanted something to drink. I kindly declined and told her that all I wanted was some hot wonton soup. When the server arrived with my wonton soup, I could not wait to dig in. It contained pieces of chicken, scallions, carrot, broccoli, and three wontons in a rich flavorful broth. It most definitely hit the spot, down to the last spoonful. The server came around and asked if I would like anything else. I thought for a second (still in foodie bliss over that delicious soup) and ordered a California roll. It was freshly prepared and also delicious. Less sodium soy sauce was provided for dipping, adding flavor without being too salty. Though I didn't order much, it was satisfying and was at a reasonable price. My server was nice and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I'm intrigued on trying their fried rice next time.
