Sister Sara's Crab House in Fort Lauderdale is the kind of spot that foodies dream about discovering. As someone who’s serious about seeking out the best culinary experiences, I’ve had my eyes on this place for a while. But what really sold me was seeing Wendy Williams—an icon I’ve admired since growing up in New York—drop by for a bite. When I saw that, I knew it had to be something special, and my two visits so far have exceeded every expectation. On both occasions, I came with the intent of trying their famous grilled oysters 🦪, but fate had other plans. The first time, they were starting the grilling later in the day, and the second time, they were grilling in Miami. No worries, though—this gave me a chance to explore some of their other dishes, and wow, did they deliver! On my first visit, I ordered the fried shrimp and wing combo, and let me tell you, those shrimp were *unbelievable*! Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and bursting with flavor. I’ve never had fried shrimp this good—seriously, a game-changer. The wings were great too, but the shrimp stole the show. On my second visit, I went all out with the crab and shrimp tub, loaded with sausage, potatoes, and corn, and topped it off with their garlic butter sauce. My son was with me, and we both agreed—this was the **best** crab boil we’ve ever had. The flavors were absolutely divine, setting a new standard for seafood boils. Now, let’s talk about the ambiance. Sister Sara’s isn’t a fancy, high-end restaurant—it’s unassuming, and that’s part of its charm. As a Bronx, New York native, I’ve learned over the years that the best food often comes from places you’d never expect. Hidden gems like this are what make exploring local food scenes so exciting, and we are lucky to have a spot like this in Fort Lauderdale. Beyond the phenomenal food, Sister Sara's Crab House is a Black-owned business, and supporting local businesses is something I’m truly passionate about. I’m already planning my next visit, where I’ll definitely reorder the incredible crab boil and, hopefully, the third time will be the charm for those famous grilled oysters. If you’re a foodie like me, trust me—this is one spot you don’t want to miss.

Where do I begin. I never really write reviews, but I had to write one for this place. I placed an order on uber eats and all I can say is..buyer beware. I have been wanting to try food from this place for a while now. After reading all the good reviews online, I decided to finally give it a try. I ordered the grilled 6 oz lobster tail with orginal garlic butter and ol bay sauce (the food description also indicated the lobster came with shrimp). I also ordered a tub. What a disappointment! After spending $45 dollars and waiting over an hour and a half for my food to arrive. I received an empty lobster shell with 5-6 pieces of scattered lobster meat and 2 shrimp!! The "tub" was nothing more than a piece of corn, half a sausage, a boiled egg and half of a boiled potatoe with some weak garlic butter sauce poured over it. The food barely had any favor! I also ordered an extra side of garlic butter sauce, which I did not receive and it probably didn't matter because the sauce barely had taste. The only thing good about my order was the strawberry short bread cheesecake. I don't know if I got a bad plate of food, caught the cook on an off day or if the food would have been better if I physically went to go pick it up myself. But I will not be spending another $40 to find out. If this is what they serve on a regular basis, obviously the people leaving them 5 star ratings have yet to experience a well seasoned seafood broil. Also, the fact that they thought it was okay to send this food out shows that this place knows nothing about customer services. The owner/workers, probably think it is okay to basically scam people on uber eats. I am pretty sure they were low on food, but instead of cancelling the order, they sent left over scraps of meat!! I immediately called the place about my order and after several failed attempts to get a hold of someone. I made a complaint with uber eats and got some of my money back. You guys need to do better!!! There is too many reviews about your bad customer services on here for you guys not to realize you have a problem! Also, we are in the middle of a pandemic. You need to put seals on your take...

Ordered seafood boil & conch with shrimp combo. Food has the looks...but...Crabs were old dark and soggy. Shrimp were on the mushy road. Overloaded with insane amounts of potatoe. This boil meat tasted like it was warmed up from food cooked several days prior. The sauce they sprayed on top was flavorful but the natural juices were water flavored and thin. The plate was essentially cold. There was only sauce on the top which is visible when you open the plate. Underneath there is no sauce/flavor. Only got 1 egg and a quarter of a sausage. The half corn was not good. It was cold and flavorless and tasted like it soaked up all the water in the pot! Conch was greasy and practically not given any. Crumbs of fried meatless batter was mostly given as conch. Fried shrimp was nice but were warm not hot. Looks like they over compensated on shrimp because of running out of conch. But noone informed me. Nor was any price adjustments given. This was supposed to be a CONCH plate. I ordered from the conch section and got no conch. Fries were cold hard trash. Seasoned well though. Temperatures of food was very bad. Don't understand why because they give you a beeper thing when your food is ready. I walked inside for my food as soon as it went off yet nothing was hot!!! Seafood boil was definitely warmed up. Drink was supposed to be flavored lemonade. That's not what ot tastes like and it was overly sweetened with what tasted lile hints of alternative sweeteners. However I'll never know because they literally sold a prepackaged, presealed bottle with no ingredient label. Everything was overpriced terribly for what was given. These two plates and a $4 drink later...$67! Would've been somewhat okay if the quality of the food was there, but it wasn't. Something is wrong in this establishment. They aren't caring about the quality of their product. The people seemed friendly enough but it's deceptive really to serve poor quality food like this while smiling in a customers face without informing them. Won't go back. Won't...
