Wavered between two and three stars here. Went with three because the staff seems nice and some of the food was quite good. First I'll say that the wait staff is attentive and nice. Second, and this addresses that appreciation for this place could be a matter of personal preferences... despite my affinity for Asian (though particularly Japanese) culture and food, I personally can never get into dining as a group a la carte, nevermind when they're literally roving around the crowded restaurant with carts asking you every five minutes if you want any of the baskets of food from what's on their cart at the moment. I do not enjoy everyone in your party at the restaurant table sharing the food like a family dinner (but only filling small plates a few items at a time, frequently), even when dining out with family. I want to fill my plate once or twice and be done with it, not the mosquito attack approach to dining which to me is just way too active and involved. I prefer to order my own meal whole and then dine in peace, not eat in short bursts interrupted every five minutes by the next possible selections. Besides, as opposed to choosing your own individual meal in one shot from the menu, this cart approach really adds up on your table's bill quickly. The decor of the place is eh, the atmosphere is noisy, some of the food is really quite good and some of it is rather disappointing. In summary, nice enough people, I wish them well, some of the selections were delicious, but I found the price exceeded the overall quality/experience, and (not following a stereotype here) less than an hour later and not a small bill, I found myself hungry again (no this does not happen to me every time I order Chinese food). Also, to each their own, but not my dining style, definitely not a place to kick back, relax, and enjoy your own meal in peace. To those who enjoy a more active, group-participation style of dining, this might be more your thing, and as a repeat customer you'd get a better idea for what selections they excel at so as to make your ordering...
Read moreAquarius Seafood Restaurant offers a traditional dim sum experience with a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. During my visit on a weekday, the dim sum carts weren't as abundant as they might be on weekends, but this didn't detract from the experience. The option to order à la carte from the menu ensured that we could still enjoy a wide selection of dishes.
Parking around Aquarius Seafood Restaurant can be a bit challenging, as it primarily offers street parking only. However, once inside, the ambiance was pleasantly quiet despite the restaurant being busy. I appreciated the clean and well-organized setup of the tables, which contributed to a comfortable dining atmosphere.
The food at Aquarius Seafood Restaurant was excellent. I particularly enjoyed their shumai and sesame balls, which were prepared with care and packed with flavor. The shrimp shumai and various dumplings were also standout dishes, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and taste. Each dish was freshly made, and the ingredients were of high quality, making every bite delightful.
In terms of pricing, Aquarius Seafood Restaurant offers good value for money. Our bill came to around $80 for two people, including water and tea, which is reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed.
Overall, I would highly recommend Aquarius Seafood Restaurant for anyone looking to experience authentic dim sum in a relaxed setting. Despite the parking challenges, the food quality, quiet ambiance, and efficient service make it a worthwhile dining destination. Whether you're a dim sum enthusiast or simply looking to explore new culinary experiences, Aquarius Seafood Restaurant delivers a satisfying meal that leaves a...
Read moreI am very disappointed in my Father’s Day lunch. We waited an hour and a half for dim sum and that is not the problem. We took about half an hour to eat and they had rushed us to pay and leave. As we were trying to enjoy our tea, one of the servers came up to us mid sip and stood next to us signaling us to hand over the credit card to pay. We had not put the check on the table signaling us being ready to pay yet. As he had impatiently rushed us to give him our credit card, he had reached towards past my chest and practically took it out of my hand. The servers started to hover around us holding the new tableware waiting impatiently for us to get up. Additionally, after paying, one of my guests went to the restroom and immediately, the matitre d with the short curly hair came up to us and had asked us to leave because they have a lot of other customers. I was outraged that we not only waited without any complaints but we were not taking our time at eating.
Additionally they allowed pets into the restaurant and I am positive they were not service animals. A big dog about waist high with an extremely fluffy tail and a rabbit were allowed into the restaurant.
I understand they were busy but this is not the way to treat customers that are there to be in and out. There were many tables where the customers were just talking. I don’t think I will be back to experience that type of customer service. I was an inconvenience to them,...
