Went here today with my mom, I was excited because I love Korean soup, especially you yukgaejang. We ordered the yukgaejang and the fish combo can’t remember the actual name of the set comes with green tea. Food came I ordered the yukgaejang mild but it was definitely spicy. Fish was very dry and had a very odd taste. As we were eating one of the partners came Helen she was extremely sweet and kind the thoughtful who helped us how to eat the fish combo with the Tea and told us the history of it that it was originally created for the King. We loved her! As time came to leaving we had left overs I wanted to take home they brought Togo Tupperware for us however, after I packed it, I asked for a bag four different times One guy heard me, but he just ignored it well Come to find out bag is .25cents I didn’t have change so I asked them to charge my card it’s just weird walking out of restaurant with containers in your hand you know !!! He goes oh we can’t charge card for that ! It’s the NJ law we have to charge or bag !! EXCUSE ME! I just spent $70!! At your restaurant.25cents isn’t going to run your business down ! That shouldn’t even be an issue just to say oh here next time you can pay no problem! Absolutely ridiculous! I dropped the food going to my car had to throw all of it away I was so upset all because they couldn’t give me a bag. Extremely bad customer service! I will never come back or recommend this place !

Ps. Server that helped us was a young gentlemen he was great ! Nothing...

If you’re looking for authentic Korean comfort food with an amazing vibe, Myung Dong Noodle House in Fort Lee is a must-visit. Known for their kalguksu and hearty, health-focused meals, I opted for their Kimchi Soondubu Jjigae and Kalbi Tang, and both dishes were absolutely incredible.

The Kimchi Soondubu Jjigae is a bubbling bowl of spicy perfection, filled with silky tofu, tangy kimchi, tender pieces of pork, and a poached egg simmering in a rich, flavorful broth. It’s the perfect balance of spice, tang, and umami. The Kalbi Tang is just as comforting, featuring melt-in-your-mouth beef short ribs, daikon radish, glass noodles, and green onions in a clear, savory broth that feels nourishing and indulgent.

And the best surprise? Each stew comes with a side of marinated grilled pork that’s smoky, tender, and bursting with flavor—a generous and delicious addition that takes the meal to another level.

Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere is just as noteworthy. The restaurant has an authentic, cozy Korean vibe, and it’s clear this is the spot Koreans flock to for a meal that feels like home. It’s the perfect place to get your Korean food fix, surrounded by the comforting hum of conversation and the smell of sizzling, grilled meats.

The service is top notch as well warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Myung Dong Noodle House isn’t just a meal; it’s a full experience, and one that I’ll definitely...

THE WORST restaurant experience. first, I used to like this place for good food and clean space. Today, I drove one hour to get here from where I live and we ordered bulgogi and kalgooksu. after 15 min food didn't come so I asked server to check our order, she came back to us shortly and repeated our order to me which is not I asked( i know what I ordered..) I told her food is delayed then she didn't even answer me and just leave(I thought she went to kitchen to check but she didn't)..so we just waited there another 10-15min. I had to come to matire d and ask about our order and tell we've been waiting 30min, the manager said we've been here only 15MIN!(that's what POS says) it was absurd already but I didnt want to argue so just came back to table . After little while I saw some dialogue going on at matire d and knew our order was not placed. However nobody(manager or our server) came to explain but some other guy came to us and blamed internet(?) and said we'd have to wait 5-6min more. WELL, I GET IT. sometimes miscommunication happens and its one thing but how to react is another. If someone came to us and said sorry, we would not have to leave the restaurant upset and still hungry. Wast of time on beautiful Saturday afternoon....

Extensive menu. They do knife noodles, soft tofu soup, bulgogi, chicken stew, etc.. Just like an American diner makes everything from omelet to sirloin steak. Normally you do not trust a restaurant like this to be authentic. You normally walk away when the restaurant boasts an encyclopedia-like menu. This place, however, deserves a trial from you. Every menu items seem to be well above average. Their grilled bulgogi surprisingly tasty. Summertime, they bang out naeng-myun (cold buckwheat noodle) in high volume. Soft tofu stew is not as good as BCD, but it’s very competent. But their specialty is knife noodle. And the dumpling. As their name indicates, they specialize in the Myung Dong Noodle, which is very famous and incredibly tasty noodle restaurant in Myung Dong, South Korea. Does this place offer the same taste as the Myung Dong branch? Nope. But I’d say their version is the closest to the original one. That’s why I visit this restaurant 3-4 times a year. This is a solid restaurant. If you are a lover of Myung Dong knife noodle, then this place is indispensable. If not, then you have more (and better) options to try Korean food in the Fort Lee & Palisade Park area.
