After a long trip in the city My family and I were In the mood for good Mexican and everything that comes with the experience. good guacamole the vibe, drinks etc .

This establishment has been popping up on my feed for some time now and I’ve been wanting to check it out despite the mixed review one being the guacamole table side service.

We arrived to Asadero host was friendly and we were promptly seated and greeted by the nice waitress who offered the cocktail menu and food like any other Mexican restaurant we frequent guac is a must and table side is always a plus for adjustments the patron can make. After summiting our apps dinner and guac (table side) it seems an eternity for the gentleman to arrive and make guac. While Asadero wasn’t full to capacity I can understand there may be a wait time for apps and guac but the man clearly did not know how to manage his role in table said guac. When he finally arrived to our table he rushed through the guac making process barley the key ingredients to make an excellent guac and after completing, he simply placed molcataje on table and scurried away not caring to ask if guac was to our liking in which of course it wasn’t. We bit into thick chunks of avacado and barley smashed onions and jalapeño. Seeing a tip jar on his cart was comical after that kind of service

Shortly after our apps arrived and not trying to ruin our experience we tried to enjoy the apps. Our entrees get dropped on top of all our apps . This in the dining/hospitality industry is a huge no-no not allowing patrons to enjoy and savor their apps before entree arrival is unprofessional and makes the patrons feel rushed. We felt like leaving at the moment but it was Sunday evening and we had kids to put to bed we made the best of this distasteful experience

I ordered a dish which I thought was going to be authentic to the Mexican gastronomy “tampiqueña “ in my honest opinion this was more like an around the world Latin dish, pieces of fried cheese was on this Along with a dried steak .

I don’t blame my waitress as she was nice but there is something here that’s need to be corrected . I know I am not the only one give back critical feedback.

But to want my business corrections need to be made . We have a date night planned for tomorrow night with a another couple friend and and as I much I would want to give you place...

The food was actually pretty good, better than I thought it would be. But the service was horrible.

And it all made sense when we got the bill, will share at the end.

Was a Monday night, restaurant was pretty empty. Waiting for them to take our order, had to get up and find the hostess and waitress chatting away. This entire night had to get up to find the hostess or waitress 4 times!!!

My friend and I ordered a good amount of food. They bring our soup out, we ask for spoons, he gives us one small coffee spoon. We ask the waitress she laughs about the small coffee spoon and said she will bring two big spoons, but she forgets and is on the other side of the restaurant taking another customer’s order. So I have to get up and go to the front and ask the hostess and she brings out two regular spoons. Waitress explained that they are understaffed but it wasn't like the restaurant was that busy on a Monday night. There were only 3-4 tables of people when we sat down.

Busboy delivers the food and we ask for more water, he says okay but doesn't bring the water. We ask the waitress for water, she say she will be right back and she doesn't come back with the water. It was by far the worse customer service I've had in a really long time.

By the end of the night there were only 5 tables seated in the entire restaurant. The busboy delivering the food flat out ignored us several times. Waitress was nice but she didn't care to ever check on the people on our side of the restaurant. I saw another table get up to get the waitress as well. The busboy in particular behaved different towards us than the other table, not sure why.

So when we get the check for two people, they ADD GRATUITY 18%. They explained that they do this for ALL checks regardless of how many people.

Food was pretty good, the service was inexcusably horrible. Guaranteed 18% tip shouldn't mean you treat your customers like that. They take no pride in their work or jobs. Won't be...

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. We came here for dinner before ending our evening. It was about 9:30pm on a Tuesday It was a relatively quiet night. So we were able to get a booth for just the two of us. After being seated, no one spoke to us for about 10 minutes. No one came to bring us water, chips and salsa which we found out were complementary after we placed our food order. Not even even a “we’ll be right with you”. There was a gentleman that kept walking back-and-forth looking at us, but didn’t say anything. When our waiter finally came we placed our drink order and food order. On Tuesdays all tacos entrées are half off. We ordered a bunch of food: including chips and salsa. That’s when the waiter said it was complementary. Once our drinks and food came out the waiter was gone. I hate having to wave people down because I feel it’s rude, but that’s what I had to do in order to get his attention. We asked for more salsa and If they had any Valentina. He automatically in such a dismissive tone said no and walked off. A few minutes later, he came back with a bottle of Valentina 😳. At this point, we were the only guest in that dining room. so we were just go to and leave because we assumed that they were going to be closing soon. However, another couple came in and sat in the booth right next to us. That very same waiter we had was so welcoming to this couple. We sat there stunned. Listening to that interaction with a couple next to us was so disappointing because you would have really thought this waiter knew us from a previous experience by the way he treated us. At that point we got some to go boxes and just paid our bill. He automatically selected no tip on the POS and said “no need to do anything else just sign”. Despite the bad service we still tipped him. Maybe that’s why he treated so badly because he thought we weren’t the type to tip. Whatever the case may be this restaurant doesn’t have to worry about seeing my...

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!! This afternoon we just happened upon a great restaurant celebrating Cinco de Mayo big time on Hudson Street in Fort Lee. We had an excellent meal. The entire staff were very professional and engaging. Rebecca and Vale outstanding! The owner Don Hector sat with us He was very engaging and an established restaurateur. We were amazed to find out that the El Asadero Mexican Grill Fort Lee was only opened two days earlier. The staff were organized like a well oiled machine. We even had guacamole made to order by two of the staff at our table!! They also have a great room for parties. We both had the steak and shrimp fajitas. Cooked to perfection and a visual delight. The Parking Garage is next door as is the IPIC Movie theater. The flan was the best we ever had. The Mexican Ambassador to the United States was also dining that afternoon. The Fort Lee Police secured the street . A 5 piece Mariachi Band serenaded us the entire time and outside was a superb Spanish Equestrian team of horses performing. WOW - a lot of bang for our dollars/pesos! This is our GO TO MEXICAN restaurant. Ole!!!! As a note all the accoutrements in the restaurant are Mexican sourced. The drinks are on point. Thank you Don Hector and Staff. See you again tonight!!!!

My partner and I have visited this location in Fort Lee about 5 times already. We absolutely love it there. We mainly go for drinks! Service is amazing. The hosts, servers & bar tenders, they are definitely a team, we love that. The atmosphere is beautiful. The mexican themed interior is beautiful and calm. Love the music because of course I can always sing along being a Latina. The food is great. So far everything that we have tried here, we love. Recommend the fajitas (chicken and steak combination). We love their drinks because they are not cheap with the liquor. If you like a nicely made drink, this is the spot. The drinks are not extra strong, but definitely not watered down. Made just right. I only wish they had some food included with their happy hour to go along with the drinks. Love love love the gentlemen that makes the guacamole in front of you & to your liking ( I always ask for no spicy). The last time we were there we happened to sit at the bar and got a chance to meet one of the owners. He's so kind. Very outgoing man. I love the commitment to his establishment. Making sure that every thing runs smoothly.

We recently had lunch at El Asadero Mexican Grill in Fort Lee, and while the ambiance was charming with its Mexican decor, the overall experience left something to be desired. The restaurant's walls are adorned with hand-painted plates, colorful tiles, and porcelain skulls, creating a visually appealing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and prompt in taking our orders, but what caught us off guard was the automatic inclusion of an 18% tip on our bill, despite it being just a party of two. This left a slightly bitter taste in our mouths, especially considering the average quality of the food. While the dishes were decent, there was nothing particularly remarkable or memorable about them. In the end, El Asadero Mexican Grill didn't quite live up to our expectations, and we wouldn't rush back solely for the food. It's a place with potential, given its appealing decor and attentive service, but the culinary experience didn't match up to the overall ambiance.
