I've lived in this building now for 3 years and like everyone else has posted this is one of the worst management companies I've ever seen. Maintenance requests are never fulfilled and Jima from management has to be one of the rudest people I've encountered. Her answers to emails are arrogant and condescending. Everyone at the front desk is amazing however!!! You're better off looking at the other buildings in Fort Lee as you'll have nothing but problems if you live here. Just look at all of the other comments from the past year.
7/18/24 * THERE HAS BEEN NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE HALLWAYS ALL SUMMER. WHEN IT'S 90 DEGRESS OUT IT'S 90 DEGREES IN THE HALLLWAYS. IT'S BEEN THIS WAY FOR 2 MONTHS NOW, IMAGINE PAYING $4k + FOR AN APARTMENT AND NOT HAVING AIR CONDITIONING IN THE HALLWAYS. WELCOME TO HUDSON LIGHTS!! ** There are over 40 vacant units in the building currently, I wonder why!!!!!
4/4/24* Please stop using fake accounts with no comments and 5 star reviews - Take note potential renters!
1/22/24 - Multiple tenants apartments still haven't had their water damage fixed.
12/28 Update - Key Fob still not working on 1 floor into the building - 10 days later. SMH
12/18 Update; Key fobs not working again on 2 floors from the parking garage. :(
10/10 Update - One of the elevators in the Lobby has been down now for 2 days. I've lost count how many times the elevators have broke this year alone.
9/27 UPDATE... Key Fobs are still not fixed! We're going on close to a month at this point! Again, just look at all of the "legit" review s from the past year. Not the ones with no comments and just 5 stars! Do your homework!
9/20 UPDATE... The key fobs in the parking garage are still not working after 3 weeks on all 3 floors. Imagine paying $3500 - $4000 + a month and not be able to get into you building from the parking garage.. These were also supposedly fixed earlier this year.
9/12 UPDATE.... The ceiling in the lobby has been leaking now for 2 days. there is a bucket in the lobby (right in front of the entrance) to collect the leaking water.... The Key Fabs in the garage, common area and gym have been not working for over a week now (this is now the second time the key fabs have been down after they were apparently "fixed"
There's a giant (I'm talking 3ft to 4ft crack in the pool that's at least 4...
Read moreAll of the BAD reviews are ABSOLUTELY TRUE
This building is an absolute nightmare... they illegally hold your security deposit for longer then the law allows and don’t return it until you have literally called 10x and then go and fetch it yourself.
BUT that is nothing compared to living there! the place is built so poorly with the cheapest of everything... even though they charge TOP dollar ... I was truly worried for the safety of my family.
The elevators are always down... the electric has gone out a zillion times once for over a week and used temporary power after that for weeks on end while they “fixed” the problem
Remember this is a brand new building so Im not even sure how the passed any of the building code inspections which makes it all extremely suspect.
The staff is insulting and rude... especially if the pool Is involved ...
NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A LUXURY BUILDING! I think one might be treated with more respect at a housing project.
Even if you are willing to put up with this subpar building and renew your lease (maybe you just don’t want to move again - though EVERYONE IS MOVING OUT ALL THE TIME) - they will give you NO INCENTIVES and actually increase the rent from the baseline of your original lease which of course is more then you really paid the first year after the month or two they gave you free to hook you in..
If you live on the side where you pay more for the view and see the bridge you now have a Times Square TV screen from the new modern BLARING COLORS AND FLASHING IMAGES into your apartment till 9pm... and the cheap blinds do nothing to help block it.
The washer dryer is a piece of junk that washes two shirts in about 6 hours ... for an apt of this size and price they couldn’t put regular size machines?
The refrigerator works on and off and is another piece of junk.
They allow people to hang in the lobby (instead of going to the lounge or their apts) so there are people hanging out talking to the concierge distracting them from doing their job and even eating there. So if you want a professional upscale atmosphere to bring friends or clients forget it.
I could go on but lots is covered by others here.. just believe it all and stay away from Hudson Lights ... its my only consolation that I can keep people from the disastrous...
Read moreMy family lived in Hudson Lights for the past five years - and it was a very satisfying experience. Obviously, no place is perfect - some of the appliances and common area equipments may be not as luxurious as those in other high-end Fort Lee places, but the pros outweigh cons in my opinion.
First, I think the biggest strategic advance of Hudson Lights is the LOCATION. It is absolutely amazing. The area went through a lot of growth especially after COVID-19. You can walk most of the places, including many different restaurants, coffee shops, CVS, and other smaller stores within 5 minutes. I don't think there is any other comparable, high-end condominiums in Fort Lee that can compare with Hudson Lights when it comes to location, and its convenience. Location is something you can't change or upgrade, so if that's important for you, definitely consider Hudson Lights.
Second, I really like the latest management team, led by Joseph. During five years, Hudson Lights went through three times of management changes, and with each change, the experience got significantly better. Now, the maintenance requests are responded very quickly, the front desk is responsible, and the management team is very reasonable. And they value "good" tenants - their rent renewal always comes with very reasonable increase, especially if they want you to stay. There was never a "surprise" on renewal during my stay.
Third, probably thanks to the management, I loved the resident community overall. Compared to five years ago, the current residents are way more friendly, responsible, and "quiet" - no crazy party people - in my opinion. It's mostly working professional, singles, couples, or families with young children that need to go to bed before midnight. And management seems intentional about maintaining that kind of environment.
And of course, it has most of things that you'd expect from this kind of residence - shuttle bus, front desk, gym etc. We recently moved out as we moved to a different town, if we could have stayed longer in Fort Lee, I would have definitely stayed longer at Hudson Lights. Thank you for the...
