Very small portions & bad service (forgot to bring water along with/before food & sides), food presentation is above average but does not justify the price with how untidy the place is. The chairs look like its been taken from somewhere else, table isnt that big and the store itself is too small. The interior (i.e. paint) arent done, or at least, badly finished. If you stop eating for 5 seconds and look around the place you'll see it.
Sides - very basic, as shown by others. Refill was not provided, and we spent about $60 as two people (not including tips, which we gave less than 10%). Any other korean restaraunt, excluding self service ones - they will provide at minimum, kimchi refills.
almost any other restaruant in Palisides Park will do better at what this place does.
I also noticed there aren't any children (also saw the reviews) and I would say having kids into this place would make it even worse of a show with how small & crowded this place already is.
The one nice thing is that they bring any kind of hot meals (excluding soups - speaking of which, the kalbi tang had few pieces of dices galbi with mostly soup and no meat, and they call it king kalbi tang) bring wax candle plate so food stays warm for a bit. However they forgot to turn it on for both (we ordered 2) and only turned on 1. Should not be that hard to notice when one is turned on and not the other.
To restarant managers - consider moving to a location that isn't this small. Ive actually noticed that the kitchen doesnt seem to be on this floor and people were walking up & down the steps. Also, please paint the wall properly. There are scratches/chips on the...
Read moreBest Korean food in NJ! We came here at noon on a weekday, and this place was packed!! Although they were extremely busy, everyone was still very kind and helpful.
We got the large portion of Short Ribs (to share amongst 3 ppl), Shiregi Sujebi, and Bibim Naengmyeon. We added the fried rice to the short ribs, which they made for us at the end. I was so hungry that I only took pics of the half eaten fried rice, at the end of our meal 😅. Everything was fresh and delicious. I've not had good naengmyeon until I came to this restaurant!
There is a paid lot right next to the restaurant. Or, if you don't mind walking, there is street parking and another lot about 5 min walk. This place can get pretty LOUD, which is typical for crowded, casual restaurants. There was a guy basically screaming in Chinese, while talking to his s/o. Like dude, this isn't your living room. If you're looking for a "romantic" setting, this is NOT it, but if you want the best home-cooked meal, then...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time. The moment we walked in, we were impressed by the cleanliness and bright, welcoming decor of the storefront. The staff greeted us promptly, and we were seated quickly, which set a positive tone for our meal.
We ordered two dishes: the Braised Beef Short Rib and the Oyster Radish Soup. A friendly staff member suggested that for two people, opting for the larger portion would be more satisfying, so we also added Rice and Vegetables to Mix with Galbi Jjim. This turned out to be an excellent decision, as we both left feeling full and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, finishing every last bite.
The Oyster Radish Soup was a standout, with its fresh and sweet flavors providing a truly delightful culinary experience. Overall, we were very pleased with our dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to our friends. It's a hidden gem in Fort Lee that we look forward to...
