Taqueria La Sierra — Restaurant in Fort Lupton

This restaurant was amazing. we go to Mexican restaurants all the time and eat Mexican food all the time. When we walked in we thought maybe we should go somewhere else, but they really made the best Mexican food we've had in a very very long time and we live out in Lakewood. We were so happy with their service even though the girl that was taking the orders couldn't understand English at all she's still understood what I meant and I understood what she would meant and she was very nice and very kind. they're chopped steak was incredible the smothered burrito that I got it was so great there's sauces were great and you can take them home in your little cups as much as you want. I am just so pleased that we decided to stop there on the way home from Greeley I really do give them five stars and if you have a second or to go get food go there and get Mexican food because I don't normally choose Mexican food and I would choose this place again and again. We stopped here for smothered breakfast burritos and they did not disappoint! The portions were huge, allowing me a second meal to take home. They were loaded with flavorful ham/bacon, potatoes and eggs and smothered in green chili drizzled with sour cream, with sides of lettuce, tomato and avocado. They definitely have a little heat, but not too much. The service was good even with a little language barrier. Tip: Use your phone to translate menu items if your Spanish isn’t great. Edit: I have been going here for years. I am never going back because I had sand inside my tripe taco!! Literally spit out a ton of tiny pebbles that looked like cat litter. I'm pregnant and so worried about the safety of their food now. That means they cooked tripe that wasn't washed properly! This has never happened in my life. Disgusting!
