Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe

Updated: it's kinda sad. My husband and I use to come quite often to get sandwiches here .. my original review was 5/5, and you can refer to it below. This new review is 2/5 thanks to the food still being good, and one shining employee with manners. It's sad to see it fall after coming back from being out of town. It seems some of the employees must of changed, or maybe it's a different staff today than usual for me. Regardless, coming in was not as welcoming as the first or anytime prior to today. The staff was rude and rushing attitudes (we were the only customers in store). The lady cutting the meats for sandwiches cut mine, but completely left and ignored my husband as he stood there. I continued the next step with a lovely young lady. (seemly highschool age or slightly older) While the older ladies and staff gossiped about others they work with. It took till after my sandwich was done for the older lady to walk up the register to check us out. However, she hadn't even acknowledged my husband still down at the end... The nicer young lady had to bring her attention to that. Then, after us walking in together, calling each other "babe", asking if he wants a drink while I was waiting at the other end now, him handing me the wallet, me even hinting we weren't ready to pay and the younger lady saying my husband still needed a sandwich. The older lady still goes "Oh, is it together"(seemingly with enough attitude my husband even noticed. And he usually doesn't even pay attention to people) ...as if everyone, but her had gathered to that conclusion.. All this and they still take forever to make his sandwich after ringing me up. While we wait we got to hear the rest of the team still gossip (loudly), and pausing on what they were doing to stand around doing so... All except the you get lady .. It seemed to be the manager doing most of the gossip too that was causing the hold up. At least, that's what we could gather. It's odd. The younger one looked to be in HS, but the older ones ACTED like they were still in HS. Creating a very toxic and uncomfortable situation for customers to sit and listen to. Just saying from the work ethic and attitudes we saw. You would be better off making that nice, younger girl (short hair, seems enthusiastic and friendly) the manger instead. While we were there she didn't engage in the childish gossip Infront of customers. Paid attention to our needs. Juggled us and online orders while her team played High School and even was determined to bring their attention back to us. Bad managers will create bad team efforts and bring good work spaces down. Promote the people that won't turn your job into a high school locker room.

Well I have been here plenty and normally I have no issues. For whatever reason this time .. apparently just making a sandwich with meat and cheese was too hard.. there was only a skinny guy and a big girl (not judging but that's how I'd describe them) they needed to remake one of them and I asked for the other while I waited but then got the most rude response and finally one the other sandwich was remade I got the first.. mid you they are supposed to both be hot.. so I ended up with 1 hot rushed sandwich and 1 cold sandwich that would have been fine but considering they had something stuck up somewhere that was apparently too much of an inconvenience.. not to mention I didn't even bother pointing out the extra cheese I asked for or pickles on the side.. yeah I get it sounds like a lot.. but I'm sorry this is very simple to do it right the first time.. and I get accidents happen but if ur that miserable when u make a mistake don't blame me. And just to be clear as to the Date and time it's Nov. 6th at just after 5pm. If that helps.. I usually have no problems here and would normally leave a good review when deserved and that same lady did a phenomenal job last time do if she was just having an off day, I'm sorry but...

My wife and I were traveling to Florida. We stopped over at a Holiday Inn Express in Ringgold, Ga. We had a case of the munchies so we found the nearest Jersey Mike’s and called to order. An exceptionally nice, and very professional lady by the name of Beth, who helped walk us through downloading the Door Dash app. She took the time to walk us through placing our order process and stayed on the line till our order came through. Once it was there she said she had it and would get right on making it. She told us the order would probably be there a little after 9:00 pm. We received our order well before 9:00 pm from Door Dash Bradley. My wife’s cold sandwich was cold and my hot sandwich was nice and hot. The entire order was perfect as ordered and timely as well.
