Edit: heard from the "owner" and he was as rude as the staff. So go at your own risk. We love this location in Fort Payne and go multiple times and week. We enjoy bingo on Tuesdays and always have at least a group of 6. But last night the bartender (who said she was the manager) was rude and combative. She angrily told the restaurant that "if you didn't hear the bingo numbers called then it is your fault". She is correct, of course, but we are normally having a good time, laughing and egging each other, congratulating each other when someone wins. And the bingo caller was not repeating the numbers continuously. She did it some times but she started calling the numbers very fast and not repeating them. The bartender stating the obvious as if a riot was about to start was unnecessary. She seems to be on a power trip. I asked for her managers number and she gave me a GM's number, which I presume is likely a coworkers number. I don't believe Jeffersons has a GM, just an owner. I will call the number and talk to the person but I don't have any hope that the bartender will be talked to. I and all the other bingo patrons deserve an apology from her rude self next Tuesday. If a riot starts I will be right there with her holding it down but we are a croud of middle aged, overweight, balding Fort Payne residents and we are not likely to start a riot of any sort. We are just having a good time with our friends. We stopped going to Limons for bingo because we enjoyed Jeffersons so much. Please do not let your one terrible employee ruin that for us all. The server last night, Faith, was also terrible. She took our order and hid in the kitchen the rest of the night. I cleared our table and another woman got our to go containers. Not the best experience last night. Do...
Read moreOh my goodness, I discovered this little gem on a trip to Louisiana from Ohio. I saw the sign and stopped. I was tired from driving and very hungry. I saw the fried pickles sign on the door as I walked in and knew I was gonna order some. Being from southern Ohio, we have fried pickles, but the ones in the south I have found to be so much better. As we walked up to the counter to be seated, we were greeted with a warm, friendly smile and asked, "Seating for two?". I had explained that we were not from there and was traveling through and wanted to know what was the best thing on the menu to order. The girl replied with fried pickles and wings, and anything could be double dipped. I was already sold on the pickles, so we took our seats and ordered our drinks. The waitress came back with a basket of the pickles and told us it was free Friday fried pickles. I was over the moon excited. They were absolutely delicious 😋. We ordered burgers and small boneless wings with the sauce on the side (we had gotten to different sauces to try). Everything was absolutely amazing, but it was so much food that we had to get go boxes. Y'all check this place out. You won't be disappointed! Service was very friendly, very fast, and the food is over the moon...
Read moreI ordered at 5:43 got there at 6:05 and there was smoke everywhere. The bartender then asked me (I’m a nurse) I said yes and she evacuated due to a firefighter in the building. Needless to say they handled the situation with care and class. Made sure we were all safe and did what they absolutely could. The fire department let us back in and they ended up giving me my food. Some people may say well it’s not fresh or it’s cold but the point of this story is they have a great crew who acted fast and saved lives. I know they are now closed due to inspection they have to undergo but I won’t forget the bartender and Gary along with the black man (I’m black before you start 🙄) Thank you guys for the food and thank you for making sure I made it home safely to my family 😊😊 also a big thank you to the firefighters who showed up and made sure everything and everyone was ok I know you guys don’t get enough credit. “For those that gave their lives so we could be free” luckily this situation was as bad as it could have been due to the...
