Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Fort Payne

The store is nice and clean and is somewhat organized. However the items are rarely in the right place with the right price on them. Unless you figure out how to find the item numbers and match them to the price stickers then prices are going to be a crapshoot. Things are all in general locations so it's still easy to find items inside the store. The employee's are all very friendly and helpful. They don't rush to you like a car salesman but if they see you they'll ask how your doing today and if they can help you with anything. I was loading feed and salt blocks into my truck which has a handicap tag (for my mother) and an employee seen it and came over and tried to stop me and let him load my items without being asked. After explaining he still stayed and helped. I've taken my mother inside multiple times in her wheelchair and was stopped right inside the door by employees and asked if I'd like them to push my mother's wheelchair around as we shopped! That's customer service! I know I can get some items cheaper but the service is great and I don't have to stand at a "self checkout" hoping my cash isn't going to be rejected for a wrinkled corner or that I'm going to stand there waiting on customer service to check my bags and each individual item because something rang up double and before they can void the extra they have to make sure I really only have the right amount of items, or have the option to wait an hour on the only human cashier to herd everyone through the line. For that I'll pay a bit extra! The only reason I rated 4 stars is because of items not in the right spot to match...

Tractor Supply has tractor parts and accessories, outdoor lawn & garden equipment, health and feed products for farm animals, farm and garden chemicals & fertilizers. Tools, lubricants, fasteners, hardware, accessories including wheels and tires. They have a good selection of health products and feed for house pets also. In the spring they have a variety of chicks and ducks. There is a selection of men's, women's, and children's clothing too. Tractor Supply is easy to access and rarely crowded. The employees are friendly, helpful, and polite. Their prices are competitive with the big chain stores. They have a good selection of plants and trees at more competitive prices. I love this place! I drove all the way from Rome Georgia because this was the only place that had a trailer axle in stock. Even though it was a return from an online order-I am guessing that's how the price mixup occured. I had driven over an hour expecting to pay several hundred dollars, but when they rang it up at the register; Christmas came early cause it rang up $50! Cha-Ching! I know there are some of you out there (not very many, just a very select few)that may have spoke up. But let me tell you what, this is a poor boy here who it had taken several weeks to save up that money and I still was gonna have to wait another couple weeks to be able to put back the money to buy the tires and wheels but because of the mistake 😊I was able to buy them that day!!
