Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

This was a terrible experience due to our waiter and the worst bar tender I've ever seen. We had a family of 8 ordering drinks and apps after a concert this evening at 9:45. The place wasn't busy at all compared to the night prior.

The drinks took 45 minutes to come to the table. Among our party was a long island, corona with lime, a peach margirita,a top shelf martini, and 1 of each of the 3 specialty St. Patty's drink. They were awful. All of us agreed the bartender had to be new or just given the worst training imaginable. Watered down, fruit was missing, ingredients had melted they had taken so long to be brought out. mixed up toppings and flavors. When we brought up that to 2 of the berry drinks had no berries in them or on top The waiter brought out 4 watery defrozen berries in a cup and told us to SPLIT them over our drinks!

The best drink at the table was the 2 dollar St. Patty's drink and the only reason (we found out) was because it came premaded in a pitcher not made by our bartender! Ha!

The 5 apps took another 45 minutes. During that time our waiter ( an older black gentleman) Never stopped by to get us refills or give us updates on our food. We had to literally chase him down to get waters for the table. Refills on the bottled corona with lime took half an hour too. We asked him about our food at 10:45. He said would go check on it. Came out like magic with all the appetizers. It's clear they'd been sitting for a while because the plates were hotter than the food! We asked to speak to a manager who took another 20 minutes to come to our table!

The kicker(One of our party went to the restroom during tjis time and noticed he was standing by the door talking to an individual. He explained we were waiting for him for ten minutes at the table and he got flustered and said he'd be there. Our friend walked out of the restroom and he's still there nonchalantly holding a conversation with someone else.)

The manager took off the apps but charged us 60 for all the poorly made and incorrect drinks. We walked out of what should have been an hour experience at 11:45. Two hours of no service, the worst drinks I've had at a bar, and cold food.

I'll be calling corporate...

12/7 The food was amazing The service was outstanding this time, definitely someone to be an example for others. Got everything that was ordered and got the correct separate checks. Far better and outstanding this time around.

I don't recall the waitresses name that I had last night, but this woman was a complete idiot. I never leave a bad review like this, but common sense is a rare gift these days.

My friend and I walk in, the hostest blandly ask: how many, I say: just the 2 of us. Her: Follow me There was no friendly/polite greeting: Hi, welcome to Applebee's.

We're at the table and ordered our food and drinks, enjoying our time.

When it came time for our checks, my friend asks if we could split the check. I agree. We informed our server that we want separate checks. In other words, we want to pay for our own food. We got our checks, and the amounts we were charged didn't make any sense. I tried looked for the items and the amounts, but the receipts only have the amount charged. Nothing detailed. She decides to split the check down the middle, charging use both a few cents over $29. Having me pay for part of my friends alcohol when I don't even drink. We ask if that could be corrected, she said she can't because she already charged our cards.

Separate checks doesn't mean split down the middle. Any restaurant I have been to in the past they have always charged the correct items to each person or respected party.

This server just wanted to force a larger amount of a minimum 18% tip per check.

Nice try on scamming for...

BAD SERVER & SERVICE

Our server was Yari(Yaritza).

A while back I came with a party of 14 in the evening during the week. It started off with her giving us sassy attitude about our normal questions about the food and the menu. She gave an unprofessional attitude towards us. It took forever(about 10-20 minutes) to get our drinks after ordering...not even water for the table to start with. She gave us plastic cutlery when everyone else in the restaurant had real silverware to eat with!! She forgot someone's side dish and when a couple of us were trying to call for her, she ignored us...and trust me, we were "loud" enough to get someone's attention. It was just one thing after another, the whole time. Most of us didn't enjoy our dinner, because of the service. She never smiled to ANY of us, always a bothered look. And to top it off she had the nerve to ask if we were from a graduation event or something...so she gave us one of the worst service in my life and treated us badly, thinking it was one of our special days. We didn't come from a graduation event, it was group of friends and family, dressed up business casual.

And she smiled at the end while giving us our checks...to trick us into thinking that she was nice the entire time.

I know life can be tough right now, but if you work as a server, you need to put on a fake smile and a show. I used to be a server, so I know how you're supposed to act.
