This Sonic is by far the worst I've ever been to. Multiple times my order has been wrong completely, equiptment is always broken, and the food quality is terrible. But, my most recent trip has made be decide I will never return. Food was so bad I had to get a refund, and it's now been 30 days ans Sonic hasn't returned my money.
Multiple drive-up spots were down, so we went to the drive-thru. We waited 25 minutes for 2 milkshakes and a large onion ring, there was only 1 other car present. When the guy at the window handed us the food, the milkshakes were completely melted, almost warm. I handed them back to him, told him they were melted, and he smiled at me and started giggling. I could clearly tell he was well aware the shakes were no good, I told him I didn't appreciate him laughing and that for that reason, I wanted my money back rather than waiting another 25 minutes to get more bad food. He closed the window and it took 10 minutes to get a manager, who finally came to the window to offer a refund, then told me becasue I paid woth card it was going to be 30 days to receive a refund! I was in awe, frankly. For comparison, last time McDonalds needed to refund me, it was 3 business days and I had it back. I'm here to report that it has now offically been 30 days since this happened, and my bank account still has not been refunded.
Edit: I was unable to find a way to reply to the Sonic Drive-In reply below here. I tried going to the link provided, it sends me to a contact page, I clicked "submit feedback" and it sent me to a web page with a red slushee on it... With no way to send feedback. I suppose I can try to call the number at some point, and I can update accordingly. But most people don't have the time or energy to call a support line over around $20 in milkshakes and fries. I don't want coupons or a pat on the back - I want my money refunded back to my bank account. And as far as letting the franchisee know... I'm pretty sure they know. This has been a problem for quite awhile now at...
Read moreA few minutes after noon on 25 November 2013, I visited the local Sonic on Jenkins Road for a large double cheeseburger meal with tater tots. The staff was so busy joking around with each other that it took them three attempts to get my order. I waited for several minutes and was handed a bag with no Coke while the staff continued to joke and shout playful insults at each other. Even though there were cars lining up behind me, I had to wait for a couple more minutes before someone came to the window and asked if I needed anything. I explained I had not received my Coke. I was hastily given a medium coke and waved through the drive-through. I parked and opened the bag of food. The small order of tater tots were cold. The burger was barely warm, and the bottom bun was soggy with a nasty-looking mix of liquids interspersed with the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. After a few bites, I had to throw away the bottom bun. The Coke had way more soda than syrup, so it was not even drinkable. I was so disgusted with my meal, which cost $8.59 by the way, I decided to call the number on the receipt to make a complaint.
I called the number on the receipt and was greeted by an automated message. I was put on hold for ten minutes while I listened to music that sounded like it was made by the aliens from Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the cheapest Casio keyboard offered in 1985. Nobody ever answered my call, so I hung up the phone. The proprietors of this business should be ashamed of themselves for having employees with no customer service skills, serving substandard food, and not giving customers the items they paid for. History has demonstrated that these sort of things cause restaurants to go out of business. If somebody does not start minding the store around there, this one...
Read moreThis Sonic location in Fort Pierce must have a serious issue with work ethic. My visit last night leaves a lot to be desired. I had my vehicle idling at the drive-thru intercom and speaking hello into it for 5 minutes before an employee finally acknowledged my existence. After paying $24 and receiving my order of 3 large shakes, I noticed the cups were all only filled 3/4 of capacity each. See my picture. I mentioned to the young lady employee that these are underfilled and she needs to add the missing content. She gave me a confused face gesture and completely ignored my request to make things right. To make matters more of a nuisance, there was a fouled mouth co-worker swearing worst than a drunken sailor inside the facility who's voice was so loud, there was probably no chance of the other young lady, who took my order and prepared it, hearing her headset. If you don't want to be aggravated, do yourself a favor and buy a McFlurry from McDonald's for half the price and it will be filled all the way to the top, provided if their ice cream machine...
