Dale's BBQ South — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

Moonswiners is good,but the original is Dale's and its still the best,IMO.

UPDATE:You know,I have been going to Dale's with my family since I was a kid 35+ years ago..Until today,It was the only Barbq joint I would recommend...But After today 5-4-2022,I'll never go back or recommend this place to anyone and I'm not concerned if the restaurant cares about that or not,but I don't expect to be treated like I'm off the street begging for food because I pay for my food and never send anything back and I leave exorbitant tips,usually far more than recommended..

On my visit today May 4th 2022 I had a pickup order that I called in AT 4:38PM..I was told 10 to 15 minutes which I know would end up being about 25 minutes and the time frame was worse than that,it was 40+ mins due to complete incompetence among the front counter personnel..

Although I clearly gave my name when ordering and when I arrived to pick up my food,nobody could track down my order..And when I went back to the counter after I was asked to explain what I had ordered,the lighter skinned black or mixed woman with the, vulgar and putrid attitude went word for word with me about me saying that a previous order that had just been picked up by another customer was almost the exact same as my order and that my order may have been mistakenly given to and taken by that customer, and because I said it was "taken" and not picked up by another customer who didn't even give them a name,she attempted to say that I was saying that some customer just randomly walked in and took food off the counter and walked back out which clearly wasn't what I was saying..

But the more civil and professional acting counter lady backed me up by explaining it to her since she obviously didn't want to hear it from me that another customer had just picked up an order almost just like mine..She then mumbles "it's a lot of orders that are just the same"..

Since she had just helped another customer fix something that was wrong with their ticket and she was so kind acting towards them,then she became the wicked witch of the south when it was my turn,I highly suspect that if I were more Caucasian looking like those customers just before me that she helped,she wouldn't have been so hateful and negative towards me and I talked in a very low and respectful tone during the entire ordeal, never becoming belligerent like she did..

This lady technically attacked me because they couldn't keep track of their orders...I like Moonswiners's food just a little less,but after today I'll be getting a bit more familiar with them when I want to go to a Barbq joint...But never Dale's ever again...I don't eat where I'm...

I have called 5 times to get a quote on catering for a Christmas party and have yet to have my phone call returned or the quote given. The first time I called (during business hours) the phone rang and rang several times with no answer. The second time I called a young lady answered and took my info to give to her manager, who never called back. The third time I called I was told that I "had called in the middle of the lunch rush and they couldn't help me and to call back". I waited until the next day to call back(fourth time) before the lunch rush and finally got to speak to the person who gives the quotes who took my info and said he would call me back the next morning.... 2 days later, no returned call. The FIFTH time I called, I spoke again to the same man who was supposed to return my call the next morning and never did, who AGAIN told me he would have to call me back the next day. I understand that it is holiday season and restaurants are extremely busy right now, but to take over a week to give someone a quote who CLEARLY wants your business (or they wouldn't be calling back when you don't return their calls) is so unprofessional and needless to say they won't be catering my 75 person party. In the mean time I have received 4 other...

Came in today 08/08/23 after many years. I usually go two stoneys but, they were closed I ordered to stacks of baby back ribs.I was so hungry I ate one of the sides in the car it was good once I made it home I began eating the ribs which tasted bland, old and like they had beem reheated all day due to the sauce on them sticking to the meat. i stl I was eating past this poor selection of ribs but, once I looked at the other stack of ribs I called and complained $20 later I was dissatisfied and it was so bad I didnt want to have any more food from this restaurant ever again..sad that you think you can serve people what ever..the meat was embarrassing to serve to a hungry dog..I'll never come back to this place truly dissapointed ..the nerve of you people ..Shame on you..it had been many years I now know that I didnt miss anything..The collards were kinda salty due to all the meat added but the fried okra was good..you really let me down big time!!!! & you can definitely Keep the money maybe youll serve better food after seeing this review..I dont want a refund or any more food just that disguisted..Just know that after a certain amount of hours meat has to be thrown out..cant even trust the people to serve safe...
