Panaderia La Perla — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

Stopped here to pick up an order that was placed two days prior and paid for in advance. $70 total in desserts... a tres leche cake, flan, 24 churros, and a platter of cookies. I arrived at 330pm and the clerk told us it would be ready at 4pm, so I fully expected to be told that they needed the last 30 mins to get the order together.

They were out of the plastic containers they would package the flan in so we had to settle for foil and a shipping bag (which leaked in transit).

Then they were completely out of Churros and it would be 1 hour to get them ready. We settled for replacing them with pan (sweet bread).

I expressed my gratitude to the young woman at the register for her patience as I had my 2 month old with me and had to make multiple trips to bring everything to the car. (No one offered assistance.)

Mind you, I had a 40 minute drive to get these delicacies to their destination...

When the boxes were finally opened, NO COOKIES!

Do yourself a favor and do not place large orders with this bakery. They are so disorganized the order was sloppily written in a spiral notebook that the young woman at the register clearly had difficulty understanding. The food was delicious (that's why 2 stars) but the experience was sub par... Will update if refunded...

This used to be my number one spot to go…now with these clueless kids working there the service is never what it used to be nor is the taste…skip it and hit super taqueria…the owner literally told me it’s like going to McDonald’s and oh well they messed the order up. The problem was we ordered tacos with no onions and then we get home and there are tons of raw onions and grilled. My fiance gets a reaction from raw onions, then they said oh well we cook the chicken in onions and I explained it’s not food cooked in onions that bother her or give her a reaction it’s raw onions and he says “oh it doesn’t work like that you’re either allergic or not”. He is wrong and insulted us. Maybe do some research before you think or state it “doesn’t work like that.” Clueless rude kids with ZERO...

Service was not good. One price was told on the phone and then we get there in person the cake is another price. We came a long way to check this bakery out and the person attending us was rude. Not only that but they had made a cake without the fruit and we almost didn’t catch it because they were rushing us. So we asked also where was the fruit and they claimed that they couldn’t because of the writing that said happy birthday. Which is kinda crazy cause there was room and there’s literally a photo here showing a small cake with writing and fruit. Again this lady was rude so we asked if they a would be able to add the fruit and they said they would CHARGE us. LOL. We said no thanks and ended up with no cake for our moms birthday....
