The Wet Whistle — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

Get ignored with a view. Really wanted to like this place and have come multiple times and it’s finally to the point where I needed to leave a comment and won’t be back. The service is just SO bad. We’re super laid back but when we sit down and the staff walks by us multiple times without any type of acknowledgment for 25 minutes, that’s pretty ridiculous. If it’s a self serve bar where you have to go to the bar to get your drinks, that’s totally fine but that needs to be posted so folks don’t sit down and feel ignored. And then to eventually come up to the bar and the lady be so unfriendly and rude (older brunette woman), that’s eventually where I draw the line. Our first time we had the sweetest young blonde girl who was great so I guess it’s the roll of the dice on service. Actually, I’m pretty sure that was the only time we had good service out of the 6 or so times we’ve been. Yesterday was awful service as well. The view is good, food is decent, but there are plenty of spots on the water with decent food in Fort Pierce that have good service. Sad to cross this place off the list. We really did want...

However, I just tried to stop in for a quick drink and can absolutely verify they do not serve until 6pm on Sundays. It was a few minutes before 5:30 when i arrived and I was told they were already closing down. So arrive plenty of time before that.

The Wet Whistle is a perfect little bar and food truck combo tucked along the intercoastal lagoon at the Causeway Cove Marina. It is good service, good food, and perfect drinks.
