Hereās an honest review from Fort Pierce natives. My fiancĆ© and I are self-acclaimed foodies and travel the world to enjoy authentic goodness.
We live on S. Hutchinson Island, down the street, and tried out our new neighborhood island spot for lunch. We loved it and were very pleased that they put so much thought into the food, atmosphere and made it unique. We are not chain-restaurant fans, so we are thrilled to have a new local joint.
ā Service - inviting and friendly! Sierra took care of us - she was very friendly, provided us fast service, and had great recommendations of the menu. Everyone else we saw working in the restaurant also was friendly, welcoming, & attentive. ā Food - delicious and full of flavor!!!! We love to try different options so we both eat half and half of each pick.
What we ordered:
Sierra recommended the The IP&F Burger (Allen Brothers Beef, Bacon & Onion Jam, Cooper Sharp Cheese, House PIckles, BBQ Mayo). Added Side (FYI: burger does not come with any sides): Yukon Gold French Fries.
To balance the burger, we opted for the Greens & Cornbread Salad (Baby Kale & Bibb Lettuces, Chickpeas, Vine Ripe Tomatoes, Goat Cheese, Creamy Cilantro/Jalapeno Dressing Added meat: Smoked Pulled Chicken
Our verdict: Burger: BURSTING WITH FLAVOR & everything Iād want in a burger! It was sooooo tasty. The French fries are standard cut and were good too. Note that the burger is very rich and on the greasy side (in a good way). My fiancĆ© loved it but it was a little too heavy for me, so I was super glad we split our meals because 1/2 was just the right amount for me. I would personally ask for the fries to be separated on the plate or have them plated separately all together. I like my fries to stay crispy, so I didnāt love the burger juices hitting the fries on the bottom. Definitely just a personal preference. ;) Salad: Again, bursting with flavor. Great combo and I love that they use the dark leafy greens for the salad. Smoked Pulled Chicken - PERFECT. I could eat this chicken daily. Seasoned just right & not one piece was dry. So perfect. The jalapeƱo ranch dressingā¦it makes you want to ask for a bottle of it to take home. The jalapeƱo was just the right amount of flavor with LITTLE, if any, kick. I think even if you didnāt love heat/spicy, you would still have no issues enjoying this dressing. Itās more for the flavor of the pepper minus the heat. Sooooooo tasty! The cornbread on the salad is cornbread fried into cornbread croutons. My fiancĆ© loved them and I liked them (Iām not as big on fried foods - my personal preference). I might see about them just crumbling some of their yummy cornbread on top without the frying next time or still just enjoy as is per the Chefās expertise. We both had unsweet teas and water with lemon. Lemons were fresh and iced tea was perfectly strong and tasty. Sierra even proactively asked if weād like a lid to take our tea with us. She refilled it, capped them, and put a straw in (with the paper still on the top so she didnāt touch it - for the two germ conscience people like my fiancĆ© and I, we appreciated that very much!)
ā Atmosphere - Inside: CLEAN, inviting, bright sunlight (in a good way), and tastefully colorful. Iād like to note that just because a place is brand new, doesnāt always mean itās clean. Single bathrooms for Men/Women down the hallway. Outside: outdoor seating with individual umbrellas at the tables.
Definitely will come back to enjoy more of the menu and update review as I remember to do so. š

This gem of a dining spot not only promises an enticing menu but also delivers an experience that tantalizes the taste buds in ways one can only dream of.
The standout for me was undoubtedly their burger - a masterpiece that could easily claim the title of one of the best burgers I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Each bite was a perfect symphony of flavors, marrying the juiciness of the patty with the freshness of the toppings in an exquisite bun. It's a must-try for any burger aficionado.
But the culinary journey didn't stop there. The wings were cooked to perfection, offering that ideal crispy exterior while retaining a juicy interior, and the kitchen sink rice bowl was a treasure trove of flavors, showcasing the chef's skill in combining ingredients harmoniously. The shrimp and grits were another highlight, with the shrimp cooked to perfection and the grits creamy and full of flavor, making for a comforting yet sophisticated dish.
The sweet corn fritters added a lovely sweet and savory balance to our meal, serving as a delightful appetizer that primed our appetites for the main courses. Each dish not only showcased the freshness of the ingredients but also the culinary team's prowess in crafting dishes that speak to the soul. Dining outside added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal, with the cool beachfront breeze complementing the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. It was the perfect setting for a family dinner, making us feel as though we were on a mini-vacation.
Service was impeccable throughout our visit. Our waitress was not only friendly but attentive, enhancing our dining experience with her recommendations and ensuring that our needs were met with a smile. Having seen some good and some not so good reviews for the Island Pig and Fish restaurant on Fort Pierce's South Beach, I decided to stop in for lunch and give them a try. The inside has a Kool beach vibe and a wonder smoked barbeque smell. I noticed they had fried ribs as an appetizer. The only other place in the area that I know of that serves fried ribs is CafƩ 66 (the old Fat Boys) in Vero Beach and they are out of this world delicious. Looking to conduct a comparison, I inquired with the waitress as to the type of ribs and how many ribs were included in the appetizer. She informed me that they were St. Louis style and that the $15.00 appetizer included six (6) ribs so I ordered them with a $5.00 side of French Fries. Well, when my order arrived a short time later, there were only three (3) ribs and they were the smallest St. Louis style ribs I have ever seen. $15.00 for three little ribs. The waitress apologized and said she was mistaken when she told me the order came with six ribs, they only come with three. If she had checked first before delivering the food, I would have changed my order, since I told her I was planning on making them my entrƩe, hence the side of fries. Other than being extremely small, they were over cooked and dried out; just not very good. The order of French Fries was a fair portion and had good seasoning, but were mushy. I should have emphasized well-done and crispy. Seriously, who wants to eat a soggy mushy French Fry. I hope their other items are better than their fried ribs, but I probably will not be going back to find out. I'd rather make the short trip to Vero Beach CafƩ 66, where the food is...
