Hershey Ice Cream & Acai Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

This is a beautiful shop, with a great selection of flavors, great location, and something for everyone!!! With that being said the ONLY complaint I have is the service from the young ladies who work there. My first time trying this place out I came with a group of friends and I was not greeted well , especially by this one young lady who was rude and has a nasty uptight attitude . We all have bad days and I ignored it . I came in 2 more times and the SAME girl took our orders and I would ask her a simple question and you could see the irritation in her face , not only that when I went outside with my ice cream and sat down I overheard a conversation with some other costumers about the SAME young lady and how her attitude was nasty and her being rude. As a business I personally would not allow this , I worked for an icecream shop and in costumer service for YEARS and even on my worst days I had patience and a good attitude with my costumers even though it’s not my own business. I deceived to take the job and that’s what it comes with being patient with costumers and always being nice and welcoming. I don’t know what her issue is but 3 times coming and the same attitude ?? My son and I stopped in for ice cream after a hot day at the park/beach and I’m happy we did. The young lady working was on a solo shift and even though she had several customers , was prompt, efficient and provided professional customer service. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and very thorough and answering questions. The cafe was very organized, inviting and vibrant and had a very relaxed atmosphere . Everything was clean and the menu and selections were easily visible. This cafe offers açaí bowls, pudding, banana splits, lots of ice cream flavors to choose from, toppings, shakes, drinks and coffee. Pictured is the açaí bowl that I ordered and my son got a chocolate cone with gummy bears. There’s also pristine restrooms, plenty of parking and outdoor seating. The ice cream is great. The selection is great. The location is great. The staff is mostly great. They, like all the people in line, are frustrated at ownership that thinks they’re saving money by putting only two people behind the counter (and another lone employee prepping in the back) on a Saturday or Sunday. I’ve been standing in this line with my family for over 30 minutes. We have watched three different parties either walk out after the line didn’t move, or opened the door and saw the line, saw two people behind the counter, did the math, and turned around without coming in. Highly likely this happens multiple times per day. We’ve left quite a few times, ourselves. There should be six people in here on a weekend in season. Don’t be penny wise and pound foolish.
