A Taste of Vietnam in Fort Pierce: My Visit to Viet Bowl
Stepping into Viet Bowl in Fort Pierce, Florida, felt like crossing into a cozy corner of Southeast Asia. The moment I walked through the door, I eas greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of fresh garlic and herbs—a scent that promised comfort and flavor. I started with the summer roll, a fresh and delicate appetizer packed with crisp vegetables and shrimp, wrapped tightly in soft rice paper. But the real star was the accompanying peanut butter sauce—creamy, rich, and slightly sweet, it added a perfect depth to every bite. Then came the main attraction: a steaming bowl of pho made with a savory pork broth and tender slices of tendon. The broth was deep and soul-soothing, layered with flavor and warmth. On the side, a small plate of fresh basil, bamboo shoots, and lime allowed me to personalize each spoonful, making the dish feel both traditional and tailored. To finish, I sipped on a glass of Vietnamese iced coffee. It was everything a good coffee should be—bold, full-bodied, and perfectly balanced with a generous splash of cream. It cut through the richness of the meal and left a satisfying, energizing finish. Viet Bowl is more than a meal—it’s an experience. From the moment you step inside to the last sip of coffee, every detail feels lovingly crafted. If you find yourself in Fort Pierce, don’t miss the chance to stop in and treat...
Read moreI have eaten here a little over 20 times now, maybe more ... and the food and taste is very consistent and delicious. The menu is full of variety and fantastic Vietnamese food. My personal favorite is the Brisket Banh Mi sandwich .... The only thing I remove from the sandwich are the jalapenos which is just a personal thing, but it tastes good with or without. I also ask for a side of the gyoza sauce and drizzle it on the sandwich. Bursting with flavor this sandwich will not disappoint. The gyoza (deep fried) are cooked fresh and perfect, I like both the veggies and the meat version. Everything is handmade so it's all fresh, the Pho bowls are large portions with great taste. They have also added Boba drinks for the Boba lovers out there. Indoor and outdoor seating, family friendly. And a good locally owned family operated spot. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They also sell a small portion of candies and other foods from across the seas. If you've never had a banh mi sandwich and always wanted to try one, I highly recommend the brisket banh mi as a first time .... My photos do not do the justice the sandwich deserves. Sorry I ate it before thinking of...

I will be honest....had my doubts before ever going but you know what.....probably the best Pho broth I've had...and I've had quite a few from amazing to oh my gosh you Eff'd it the hell up... Clear, non greasy broth, properly seasoned with all the right stuff. Flavors of cloves, star anise, mild sweetness, not salty....Just Right!!! ...Their summer rolls were spot on. The fried spring rolls were also one of the best I've had (pork, vermicelli, taro...simply done right) and perfectly wrapped and fried. Funny thing...when the owner watched me poke, sniff and prod at the broth, his daughter later told me he said " this guy knows what the heck he's looking for"....Lol.
Youse got try this place.....it's simply done right. No frills...just good. Will rival any of the best in Downtown Orlando's little Vietnam. And this is coming from the Asian...
