Okay everyone, I have to get this information out there because I don't want them to hurt ANYONE else. About 2 years ago, my roommate and I went to La Huerta on TOWSON AVENUE IN FORT SMITH ARKANSAS. We would go there pretty regularly and grab some margaritas after work and got pretty familiar with a certain server there. I'll keep his name out of this because apparently he isn't the only one there doing this. HE however had been obsessively messaging my roommate on Facebook calling her "Baby", she wouldn't ever respond. I guess it made him mad because one of those times we went, we had ordered our margaritas and we're up to 2 each (this is not enough alcohol to effect us the way it did), this certain server brought my roommate a third margarita just after he dropped off our second round. We hadn't even touched the second glasses yet. We didn't think anything of it other than him just being generous, because we thought we knew him and considered him a friend. We were wrong. We ended up splitting that third margarita, paid our checks and left. When I got in my car I knew something was off, I got to Greenwood where I lived at the time and had to stop at my brothers house to "Sober up" which never happened until I went to sleep. When I got home, everything was slow and sounds were muffled. I felt like I was in a tunnel. I walked to my bathroom to try to make myself throw up to feel better and I dropped straight to the ground in the hallway. I got up and barely made it back to the couch. I facetimed my roommate to see if she was feeling the same way and she told me she had been non-stop throwing up since she got home. She felt so sick and nauseated. Two margaritas each was mild for us at that time in our lives. We didn't feel like that off of 4 or 5 margaritas. Idk about yall but alcohol doesn't make me feel like I'm in slo-mo. So we ended up just not going back there because at the time we didn't think anyone could do anything about this. I had told my brother and he said that he had a friend that had the same situation happen at the same restaurant. Skip to this year, a friend of mine texted me a few days ago asking what restaurant we had gone to where we had gotten roofied at, when I told her it was La Huerta on Towson Ave.. She told me she was there the other night and had TWO margaritas and when she got home she was throwing up BLACK BLOOD. She felt the same way we did, unsure of the situation so she didn't go straight to file a report because we just didn't want to stir up a mess if it was nothing. Ya'll either tell me I'm crazy or tell me what I should do. Honestly, I just want to WARN ladies before drinking or even eating there. We never had a problem before that happened. Great staff, nice servers. Then that happened.
ALSO, another girl had the same thing happen to her a few weeks ago and she wrecked her vehicle trying to get home.
If you enjoy eating there, Just pleeeeeeeaseee be careful. There is too much going on in this world to keep it silent any longer. Thank God we weren't alone those nights or who knows what else...
Read moreFirst, let me say that I order take out more than dine-in due to allergic asthma. My husband called in vegetarian fajitas, chicken fajitas and two soft beef tacos with cheese. She stated 15 minutes. I arrived and the cashier asked my name and presented her version of the order as Taco Salad Fajita; we disagreed right there and she kept saying she repeated it back over the phone multiple times. Exasperated, I told her "fine, I'll pay for the order and my dog will eat it." She then said she would change the order and in doing so this started the order as a new order with a much longer wait time. As I waited with another woman, my asthmatic cough worsened causing me to step outside into the rain to stop the coughing. Another woman had arrived for her take out order; she paid and waited a few minutes then approached the cashier about her waiting so long for her order. The woman was in her uniform (medical/ dental) so I assume that she was on break or taking it home to her family. Needless to say I could see (I am hearing impaired and use sight while listening) the cashier vehemently arguing with this woman about the order. I re-entered La Huerta to wait for my corrected order and overheard the woman request a refund after being told that her order had not been started even after she paid for it. This proved to me that the cashier plainly did not hear my husband's take out order. Finally, my order was packed (by the cashier). I proceeded removing the order from the bag to verify that it was correct and she was either trying to hinder me from doing so or just wanted me gone. I finally located what she said was my Vegetarian order. I stated that didn't look like my order. The cashier said the vegetables were on the bottom. So instead of arguing with her as the other upset woman had I returned the items to the bag and headed back to my husband. I opened my order and used a fork to see what was at the bottom of my order. This was a fajita salad without meat or tortilla (NOT VEGETARIAN FAJITA). I WAS SO UPSET I GAVE IT TO MY DOG AND SHE WOULDNT TOUCH IT. IM SCRATCHING THIS PLACE...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious food and amazing staff. This was my first time at La Huerta. There was absolutely no wait time and we got sat down very quickly. At the table the waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink and we ordered drinks and got them right away. They also brought us chips and salsa, and asked if we wanted bean dip and guacamole as well. We said yes and that was brought quick too. We ordered our food, my fiance got the Hawaiian burrito and I got the arkansas burrito. And oh my gosh it was to superb. As we enjoyed our dinner (very large burritos not skimpy on meat and not full of rice like most places) we enjoyed two gentleman singing and playing guitar. It was wonderful. After we ate the waiter brought us our check and to go boxes. We went to the front to pay for our food and the lady there was amazing too. All around super friendly. And I not only be going back to La Huerta, but they are now my favorite place to eat here in fort smith and I will definitely urge people...
