To the owners: maybe spend less on printing menus and more on effective marketing that doesn’t harm the environment in the process.
I’m leaving this review on Google to make a point that people do pay attention to the way in which local businesses interact with their community; and broad, lazy, poorly executed marketing can have the exact opposite of the intended effects. I haven’t ever even eaten at this place- and usually I’m not one to sh*t on places out of boredom, all my negative reviews have been EARNED (and there are few.)
I live in a complex near the Shalimar bridge, and within the last couple weeks people from Sakura came and placed a menu either between the screen doors and front doors, on tables, just wherever they could find a spot near every unit front door. We have about 50 units, and some of them are seasonal homes. I have picked up at least 15 to 20 these off the ground since then. I have seen even more blowing around into the water.
This is not advertising, it is LITTER. This kind of thoughtless, weak attempt at creating business is exactly what turns me OFF to a company. We live on the water so it isn't just annoying, it's literally and figuratively trashy. It's essentially the most lazy, basic, out-dated, and unappealing attempt at name recognition, and it's backfiring.
This is not the first time they have done this, nor is it the first company who has used this ridiculous tactic.
This is private property, and does not allow solicitation OR litter, and I have no qualms about being a Karen and reporting trespassers if I see it...
Read moreThis is going to be my new go-to place for lunch. Their food is very good, it's quick, and it is really affordable for Japanese! I just dined here and had the California roll for $4.59. My wife had the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp with Fried Rice for only $10.29 and it was a very full plate. The portion was definitely share-size, which we did, and loved it. The meat was grilled just like Hibachi Steak should be and then lightly coated in a tasty sauce. The shrimp was grilled to perfection and the entree was served with the fried rice and stir fried veggies. I had a scoop ice cream for dessert and it hit the spot perfectly - and why not, it's half off the regular price with any entree. Sakura is conveniently located in the strip mall across the street from Choctawhatchee High School. The restaurant is operated by a family from Hong Kong and not surprisingly the menu also includes some Chinese favorites like General Tso's Chicken and Beef & Broccoli. They have Appetizers to go along with selections from soups, noodles, rolls, teriyaki, and hibachi. They even do wings and you can get 15 pieces for only $9.99. The most expensive item on the menu is $13.59. They also do party portions and delivery. Sakura was truly an...

Wow! I just placed this order and it arrived hot, fresh and flavorful. I ordered locally through their website. They have a great menu and take orders over the phone. They remembered the spicy chilli oil on the side. Steak chicken shrimp hibachi has good flavor and not too salty. (Update: leftovers were delicious the next day) The orange chicken is a traditional consistency that you'd find other locations but not too sweet. Perfect. It has a nice crunch too it that makes me know it's fresh to order. I ordered both with noodles and fried egg. Will order again! Thank you!
UPDATE: Ordered orange chicken again tonight.... about 5 days since last order. Arrived hot and with the orange flavor that seems more like a real/authentic orange flavor not fake and overly sweet. I really like their orange chicken and The sweet and sour chicken arrived hot and in foil! The batter had a good flavor..not too salty..not too bland..not as sweet as pancakes..just right.
Give stars. Great job Sakura! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
