I wish I didn’t have to give any stars at all.
The night started off well. Went to Mexico Antiguo formally Cebollas on Maplecrest Rd. Our food was great and services was good. But when we got home I realized that I accidentally left my phone on the table at the restaurant. We hadn’t even been gone for 30 minutes. My husband called the restaurant and immediately the girl that answered said no one had seen anything or found any phone. She took his name and number. But something didn’t sit right with us, so we decided to drive down there (5 minute drive). As soon as we walked in, one of the girls said “oh someone called you about the phone?” In the commotion of it all I didn’t pay attention to those words. The manager Juan came up to us and stated he was busy and that he would do what he could. I asked if they could ask the person that cleaned off our table and my husband asked if the manager could review the camera. When the manager returned from “checking the camera” he stated he saw the waiter drop the bill off at our table BUT did not see anyone pick up a phone. Juan stated he would move the table and search once the customers that were seated there left.
So my husband and I went home. We immediately started to Find My iPhone, but the phone said it wasn’t connected. For about an hour my husband refreshed the app and finally he saw that my phone was ACTIVE at Cebollas at 6:49 (about an hour and some change AFTER we left there). So I grabbed my watch and we headed back to Mexico Antiguo for a SECOND time. As soon as we stepped foot into that restaurant my watch connected to my phone! Once the girls saw us my husband said he needed to speak with the manager again. The girl came back and said it would be 10 minutes. But I pinged my phone from my watch and heard the noise from my phone. Once the manager came up my husband told him that we knew the phone was in the restaurant. Juan the manager became concerned that we would affect his business and again said they were busy. My husband started walking towards the back of the restaurant and I walked behind him, but I slowed once I reached the door to the registers. I pinged my phone from my watch and heard the noise. The girl that was behind the register opened up the drawer in front of her without hesitation and there my phone was hidden in the back of the drawer under things. Juan the manager just said “oh, well there it is”! Like nothing bad ever happened. BOTH times we went into that place those girls who had been there since we ate sat there and lied straight to my face. There is no denying that someone saw the phone, picked it up, and hide it hoping they could get off with an iPhone 10. It is absolutely disgusting that someone would do that. We work hard for the things we have AND we had just spent a good amount of money for our dinner at this establishment. This kind of malicious action speaks volumes to me and I will make sure to let every single person I know, what kind of employees you hire there and what kind of management is running the place. I will NEVER go back to this place, but if you want to that’s fine. Just make sure you take ALL your...
Read moreTERRIBLE. I have been here many times since my parents live right down the road and my friends as well. Last night was the last straw for me. I always hear people talk so greatly about it, but this location has done nothing but disappoint me, my family, and friends. Here's my story from last night.. My fiancé, myself, and our friend arrived at 5:45pm when they were not on any sort of wait. We got a table for 6 right away, waiting on the other three to show up. In that time we ordered our drinks, and our friends showed up less than 10 minutes after us arriving there. We all got our drinks. A few of us got the monster size margaritas. In this time, it took our waiter 20 minutes to come back to our table to take our order. While a table behind us, table of 15+ people had already gotten their drinks and ordered their food. Same waiter. We ordered our food about 6:20ish. The people behind us who got there way after us, got their food in literally 25 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes went by and we had finished our alcoholic beverages, still have yet to have our waiter come to the table and ask us how we are doing, he didn't offer to refill any of our drinks. Nothing. So literally almost 2 hours later no food STILL we all got up and left. I told the lady at the desk we were not paying for any of it, the service was terrible, and a complete buzz kill which was suppose to be a good night with friends we have not seen in a long time. Mind you, there were only 6 of us, we got there 45 minutes before the rush, and people were still getting their food before us. We all even finished huge margaritas in that time frame with no food. Chips and salsa were not refilled. We basically were left there to just sit and hope our food came out before they closed. Absolutely ridiculous. I love Cebolla's and the food there, but I refuse to come to this location ever again. Always terrible service, nothing is organized or in an oddly fashion of first come first served. Children screaming at the table next to us because they too were there for 2 hours and no food. Absolutely ridiculous. Lost our appetites and went somewhere else on a busy SATURDAY night and got our food in 20 minutes somewhere else. I would have rather went to Banditos down the road where I know my friends and I would have been more appreciated. Absolutely ridiculous. Get a better staff, or inform your staff on how to go in order of who comes first. Not make us wait 2 hours for food, and everyone else around us get their food before us. Thanks for the free...
Read moreThe food was absolutely pathetic. The service was equally as bad. Ordered queso fajita dish. The meat wasn't seasoned. When this was brought the the servers attention. She brought the season to the table to do it myself. Then it was sent back in hopes of being remade well it was the same dish brought back this time the cheese sauce was cooked out of it and presented to me. I refused it. I then decided I wanted fried ice cream. My server who actually was never any where to be found still missing in action I got the attention of another server, I asked him to please take the queso steak dish away and I asked him if he could get the fried icecream for me. About 15 minutes passed the desert came on a bowl that was smaller than the tortilla bowl the icecream was in. Unbelievable! Seriously are you out of dishes? It actually doesn't fit the dish! A bigger plate to enjoy the desert on would have cost them nothing. Now the server who has been missing is still now where to be found. So I got the attention of the other server. Same one from earlier. And asked for the manager. His response was I have things to do and walked away. 10 minutes go by and suddenly the manager comes. He is not in the least bit interested in my complaint. He says that the season missing off the steak was no big deal and the server bringing the season to the table was ok. Then the bill comes. Said dish is still on the bill. One it should have never made the bill and a new fresh one should have been made and brought out to me anyways. If I'm paying for it, then I'm getting it! Wow out if nowhere the server who was MIA looks at the bill. The other server who said he had things to do is now chiming in on the matter. He says we'll you ordered it and it's not coming off the bill. Are you the manager?? I asked. No! Then why are you acting like you are. He was rude! The service was pathetic and the manager was just as awful as the food and service. Cebollas has gone down the tubes. Thanks Juan "MGR" for making my dining experience exceptionally pathetic! What a shame and what an awful situation to put in. We only wanted to eat . Footnote my tostada dish was so disgusting it was heavily salted and so soggy I couldn't even pick it up to take a bite. I ended up scrambling it together like a taco salad. There was also 1 piece of carrot in my rice, I don't know if that belonged in the rice or if it fell off something else and landed there. Unfortunately I forgot to photograph...
