A year ago, I gave Wrigley 5 stars, they were a favorite local restaurant. Last night, on 5/12/23, they lost loyal customers. In '98, they did all the food for my graduation party, because my parents loved them so much. My husband and I have been regular customers for years. Last night, my husband placed an order for takeout, and was told it would be 20 minutes. He arrived at the 20 minute mark, and waited 45 minutes. He was told then that his order would be the next coming out. So, that's the second lie, because multiple takeout orders came out while my husband waited. Around an hour and 15 minutes, the manager apologized, comped the order, and gave him a $30 gift certificate. Right at 90 minutes, food was brought out, set on the counter, the manager gestured to my husband. He naturally assumed it was our order. It wasn't. He took it back inside, they handed him the right bag, but it was only 2 of the 4 items he ordered. He walked out, after trying to tell them the mistake, and not being helped. I called, because my husband had to pick up an order from a separate restaurant that was actually done in 30 minutes. The manager said my husband just walked off with the wrong order, that wasn't true. I was on the phone with him. He said, okay, she just motioned that's mine. I was angry. If the owner hadn't retired recently, I would have tried to have this manager fired. She also said she had customers in the restaurant to take care of, and didn't have time to help. So, I guess spending money there on a regular basis for takeout means nothing, since we don't sit there and get drunk while we buy food. She was so rude. I thought Amazon had the worst customer service, but it was, hands down, the manager working(who is possibly the new owner, if she wasn't lying). The bartender, however, was polite, felt bad about the wait, and offered my husband free drinks while he waited. My husband rarely drinks, though, but it...
Read moreA group of friends and I went to catch a PPV showing at Wrigley's last night. As a former waitress, I understand being busy and getting slammed by a crowd all at once. We had an older lady with blonde hair as our waitress. She was quick to get out first drink orders to us, but that was about it. It took her 40+ minutes to bring my boyfriend a water, after asking multiple times, and over 30 to take our actual food orders. I walked up and ordered my food at the bar to speed up the process, ordering separately from my tab at the table. The bartenders were very friendly and put in my order. A few minutes later the waitress walks over and began to get an attitude with me for ordering my food from someone other than her. I told her I had handled it myself and she refused to let it go. After that, a female bartender came over and informed our table that the waitress said she refused to serve me. The bartender told us she would figure out what was going on and talk to the owner. The bartender comped my next drink after speaking to the owner. I thought the situation had been resolved since the next time our waitress came back she was more polite, however when I ordered another drink, she asked in a condescending tone if I wanted it on her tab or the one I opened at the bar.
I gave it two stars only because of how awesome the bartender was about handling the situation. This was my first time at Wrigley and my bf is a repeat customer, til now. My first time,...
Read moreThis is the trashiest bar on the NE side of town. It has been about a year since I've patroned this bar, and now I remember why. The owner is rude, his female bartenders model his own behavior. I got yelled at by a waitress last night because I was waiting for one to come back with my card after disappearing with it for 5 minutes. I got a little nervous and thought maybe she gave it back to the wrong person because she was gone for so long and they were a little busy. Instead of letting me know she wasn't the waitress who had my card (they both were short blondes with the exact same haircut by the way) she deiced to scold me loudly in a trashy way. I'm not one for confrontation, but I didn't hold my tongue; I gave her a piece of my mind. Instead of being calm and just saying she will return shortly and it was the other waitress that has it..shes in the back still, she made a failed attempt at humiliating me instead. I am by no means a rude person to waiters, bartenders, anyone in the service industry, and I show my appreciation by tipping well ALWAYS!!!! So I was never rude to her. I wouldve asked to speak with the manager, but knowing who he is, it wasn't worth wasting my time. I'll stick to my favorite bar down the road Cocktails, where they don't water down drinks. This place is the worst, they have no appreciation for the people there spending their hard...
