(Age 22, because I don’t want my mom to get cursed if she happens to see this review and think it’s my mom leaving the comment). I don’t often leave reviews, but I felt I had to because it left such a bad taste in my mouth. We aren’t from this part of town and we don’t have a lot of money either, but when we go out, we always make sure to tip well for great service, etc. as my mom has been in the service industry for over 16 years. We get it. What I don’t get is how it’s okay for a server to look at us, decide we aren’t worth the service because she assumes people who are dressed like us won’t tip well anyway, and then proceed to be rude. Today, we had lunch, here, and that’s exactly what felt like happened to us. The host was an old man with a cane, he was nothing but respectful towards us as he seated us, the issue lies in our server, Tiffany T, whom did not introduce herself and whose name we did not know until we got our bill. Her entire attitude was dry from the start. It’s fine, maybe it was a bad day, what isn’t fine is getting visibly and audibly annoyed when asked to repeat the drink selection, and visibly and audibly annoyed when we aren’t ready to order after being asked 2 times. Note, they were not busy. There was no rush. It was a little after 3 and we were the only one of 3 other tables at the time, in that section. There was also another server present. We had never been to this location before, mind you, so this menu was completely new to us. Also of note, when I asked about what was in the veggie platter, I was met with a rude, “steamed or fried?” Confused, thinking she didn’t hear me correctly, I again said, “No, I meant what's in the veggie platter?” She rolled her eyes and said again rudely, “Steamed OR fried? They have different vegetables.” I finally understood and after answering, we finished ordering. Then she leaves. So far, not great, sure. But the meat of the story is when she brings the bread. She slides it on the table and says “Here you go.” And as she’s leaving, my mother asks a very rhetorical question that was meant for just the table of us who Have. Never. Been. Here. “What’s that?” And Tiffany decides she was to whip around and say, “It’s B R E A D.” Then walks away like we’re a bunch of idiots who asked a stupid question. A question that was spoken softly not directed at her. A question that people often ask when met with a new place. At this point, we were ready to leave, not only had she treated us without any respect, she also thought it was okay to speak to us like we weren’t worth her time. But we were more shocked when a pair of what seemed like her regulars walked in and sat directly behind us, suddenly she was ALL smiles. “Welcome back guys! What can I get started for you today?” “…Thank you, Sir… Yes, ma’am!” Like is this for real? Not once had she spoken politely to us, and as if she didn’t want to get caught, she started treating us the same way. I was originally planning to bring this matter up at the restaurant, but I did not want to be made out to be a Karen or a liar since it would be hard to complain after her demeanor switched 180°. It was so fake I almost laughed. You don’t get to treat us like trash, then be nice because you want to look good in front of your regulars. We hadn’t been rude, demanding, nor difficult diners, and even if we aren’t satisfied with the food, we won’t complain either. There was no reason to be treated that way. And after ALL that, we STILL left at least a 10% tip because we aren’t as*holes. We’ve never not left a tip even if the service was horrible because servers live off tips. But my God, we didn’t WANT to leave anything. Thank you, Tiffany T, thanks to you, we probably won’t ever go back there for fear of being seated in your section and being treated like trash 👍 Treat us like trash, get a trash tip. 😀 i know google is what businesses care about these days, and I don’t appreciate being the target of someone’s misdirected dissatisfaction. We just wanted a...
Read moreOnce again I've received poor service. Long story, but worth telling. I've always believed when things start out badly they stay that way. This experience is proof positive of that belief. We went in and gave our name. Was told it would be about a 20 minute wait. That was fine. Hostess called our name and then another man and his wife who just walked in stepped in front of us and followed the hostess placing themselves between us and the hostess. We all get to the table and she turns around and sees them, becomes flustered and seats them at the table we were supposed to be at. Then she tells us we can set at the tiny table we can't get to by the window. So next we are set at the table next to them. Server comes over, takes drink order, gives them menus, forgets to give us menus. So we wait. And wait. And wait. We finally get menus. And wait. And wait. And wait. Server finally comes by and takes their order. And we wait. And wait. And wait. Next here he comes to deliver their dinner, and mind you we haven't even had our order taken yet. At this point I've decided I'm done. After about setting there for nearly 40 minutes he finally comes by and wants to know if we're ready to order. By this point I've had it. I just said no, I'm just having coffee. We paid for our coffee and went to ocharleys just down the street. Order was taken right away and everything was delicious. In conclusion, if it starts out badly it will...
Read moreEdit since I finally visited this restaurant with the full menu.. YOU made my year! Being from the NorthEast, I had yet to fins a good Haddock Fish fry here in the Midwest. I was elated by this menu option. It was delicious!! Tysm!! had a large family get together. They were not ready for us when we arrived and we stood around a while. Once seated, the service was great, minor errors about salads were corrected promptly. Food tasted excellent. I am not sure if the highly limited selection (printed on a small slip of paper) was due to the way the party was arranged, however, there were only 4 options to choose from and they did not allow any special requests like one person wanting only a baked potato and a salad. The only other issues I have were limited Pepsi products for soda and that it seemed there was a huge difference in the quantity and sides offered across the only 4 options we were given. There were two chicken dishes. One was a half breast piece with a small side of various skewered veggies (no baked potato offered) vs. the pecan coated chicken which had twice the amount of chicken over a heaping bed portion of rice. The salmon dish appeared plentiful because it also had a baked potato. It just seemed like if offered as equal meals, they shouldn't be so disproportionate. That being said, they tasted great. I dont live in Ft.Wayne, but if I come back, I'd like to try it with a full menu (if...
